Klaus was an incredibly welcoming host! When with a language barrier, we were able to talk about the area and things to do. He wanted to make us comfortable and to ensure we enjoyed our visit to the area.
The hotel is right across the small road to the Strait of Magellan and the view is incredible!
The hotel offers airport transfer which was great to have. Klaus also offered us a ride into Punta Arenas as he had errands to run. He asked what type of food we were in the mood for and dropped us off in front of a restaurant that had what we wanted!
We had a room with two beds: one full/queen and one twin with a trundle. The beds were very comfortable and there were an assortment of comfy blankets.
Our room had a private bath with shower. The water pressure was great and it was refreshing after a long two days of traveling from the USA. Hand soap, shampoo, and towels are provided.
There was also a TV and a small clothes rack. We had a nice large window with a view to the side of the hotel. Pretty flowers and plants are planted all around.
There were bicycles to rent I think and there's a multi-use path directly across the street. We only stayed one night so didn't get a chance to try them out. Additionally, there's a museum next door with a cool collection of cetacean bones!
Breakfast consisted of a selection of instant coffee, tea, toast, muffins, fruit (oranges, mandarins, apples), yogurt, butter, and jam. It was delicious. The dining area is at the front with a view of the water.
I would stay here again if I came down! I highly recommend for those who have traveled far and are looking to wind down a bit before or after any...
Read moreHotel Estación Náutica is confortable lodging in Rio Seco, between Punta Arenas and the airport! We were welcomed by Klaus, a very friendly and service-oriented man. We stayed there for three days all together on our trip (at the beginning, in the middle and at the end) to Torres del Paine and to Tierra del Fuego. Nice clean rooms and premises, confortable bedding, good breakfast with a bonus: overseeing the ‘Estrecho de Magallanes’ with the whale spouts quite nearby on the water. ||||Service is a clear trait at the hotel: Klaus was very helpful at all times, offering coffee or tea on arrival, printing our boarding passes, giving us orientation for our trip to Tierra del Fuego and sharing all sorts of insights on the regions as well as great stories.||||The hotel is good value for the money: We would definitely stay there again! Klaus made us feel we had arrived at a relative’s or...
Read moreIncredible stay! Our flight was cancelled and had to make a last minute reservation here with a 12:30am arrival time. The owner was kind enough to pick us up from the airport at this hour and drop us off in the morning. The views from here are also incredible, and the breakfast was really nice. All in all I would highly recommend for a comfortable and...
