I was forced to stay here but I was hopeful upon arrival. The lobby area is clean and in good condition. The staff was very helpful and made sure I got to my room early because I had just gotten off work from nightshift. ||||When I got to my room, the disappointment began. The rooms are small. Very small. The king size bed is comfortable, however. The bathroom is in good condition and towels are sufficient. ||The shag carpeting is ugly and dirty. There is a huge window facing south. This allows way too much sunlight in, in my opinion. Not only that it makes the room incredibly hot in the afternoon. The view is of the multiple train tracks adjacent to the property. This is a noisy problem if you plan on sleeping during the day. ||||Now, you're probably wondering why I am giving it a 1 star review since so far I have had minor inconveniences and noise complaints beyond the control of the hotel. The reason Open Hotel, Quillota is so deserving of a 1-star review is because the air conditioners don't work. Not just in my room, but in every room. My co-workers confirmed this. When I asked about getting it repaired I was told that it is, "not possible." It IS NOT possible to have the air conditioner repaired at a modern hotel. They even have digital thermostats in the rooms. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS? The thermostat did work enough to tell me it was 30 degrees C in the room. That translates to 86F for you gringos reading this. ||||To top it off the internet is sketchy and I had to get the hotel staff to get my phone to connect because the obvious network, "Open Hotel" was not cooperating. ||||The staff here deserves 5 stars but the hotel management deserves to be fired. Get your AC fixed! It's 2017 for...
Read moreI hated every single day. This is a scam. AC not working and they laughed about it when they told me. They try to look international but don't speak English at all. They switched us to 3 different rooms because everything is broken. Toilet broke, ac broke. Shower floor had cracks. There is a disco next the hotel so on Fridays and Saturdays you won't be able to sleep until 4am, it's so loud it feels like it's inside the building. Wardrobe and windows dirty. Ran out of toilet paper and they didn't replace it when doing room cleaning. The hair dryers are not only a joke, but one of them had a broken piece inside and was a serious fire hazard. The bathroom door is non existent, it's a sliding panel that is as bad as using a curtain instead. A few days in I asked to speak with the person in charge to cancel the rest of the stay and move elsewhere, they played dumb and never contacted me. Cherry on top is that this horrible experience is more expensive than staying at most high end hotels...
Read moreIf you have to go to Quillota, this is where you will have to stay. Not the ideal location, just off the highway next to Easy a Giant DYI store and a Santa Isabel supermarket and right next to the train tracks. The train goes by at all hours of the day and night and just to let you know, blows its whistle(horn) loudly because there is a crossing next to the hotel entrance. The room was ample but two twin beds,(no mattress pad) flat screen TV, wifi, AC but you had to call downstairs to have it turned on. Mini bar(sort of) in closet. Drawers in closet didn't close properly. Bathroom had a jacuzzi but did not try it. Shower was adequate. Tap in sink was loose but maintenance came and tightened it. Quite clean but hallways and...
