Hotel Boutique Antukenu — Hotel in Quinchao

I attended a wedding in Achao in January of 2020. I had originally booked elsewhere as the plan was to stay with my family. But with 2 weeks left, that place suddenly cancelled my reservation. On the recommendation of my local cousin, I booked at the Hotel Boutique Antukenu. I had no idea what to expect. I was simply looking for safe, clean and in the area. Well, I received a wonderful surprise here! Not only was it safe and clean (and affordable) but the team at the hotel were so warm and inviting. And above that, the views from this location are simply stunning. My room was that window on the lower left in the hotel photo. The views were out of this world! Each morning, I received a great (and filling breakfast) which was included in the price. Sitting in the restaurant/lobby provided a similarly wonderful and peaceful view. There is no wi-fi, no TV in the rooms, no radio. It is peaceful and quiet and wonderful. I spend my days on tech and have to say it was refreshing to have to adjust. But if you just can't live without tech, make sure your cell plan covers data. Being on a hill, the coverage is fine. I recommend you connect to Claro CL vs. Moviphon as the local carrier. It is important to note that the owner and the other woman working there only speak Spanish, but the owner's son does speak English fairly well, which helped a lot. Íbamos a quedarnos con una amiga en el Hotel a pasar la noche previa a su boda, ella arrendó una pieza directa con la dueña Ximena a 50 mil por 1 noche, y nosotros a través de Booking 93500 por noche por 2 noches. Yo me comuniqué con la dueña del hotel durante el día de llegada para solicitar un ingreso tarde indicando ella que no había problema. Cuando llegamos a las 23.40 app indica que solo le quedaba 1 pieza con cama matrimonial, y que esperaba a otro huésped (una chica) que también le había pagado por una pieza, pero que tendría que alojarla en unas cabañas que quedaban cruzando la calle, de las cuales ella no era dueña, si no que conocía al dueño. Cuando llegó la novia, como nosotros somos amigos, traspaso la responsabilidad a nosotros 3 de decidir quien se queda en la cabaña y quien se queda en la pieza del hotel, no dando otra solución, siendo cerca de las 1.00 am, luego de todo el mal rato y de no asumir la dueña que sobrevendió las piezas, finalmente nuestra amiga decidió irse a la cabaña, ya que se quedaría tan solo un día y pago menos que nosotros, cuando hizo esto la dueña además deseaba cobrarle 60 mil pesos, no los 50 mil, y cuando la novia le indicó que ella le había pagado por una pieza, no una cabaña, nuevamente la dueña no se hizo cargo y le indicó que lo dejaba en 50 mil pero que no le daría desayuno. Luego de todo este mal rato, regrese al hotel, el hall de acceso estaba pasado a cigarrillo, ingrese a la pieza: tiene una buena calefacción, la cama era queen, con un colchón duro y viejo, un catre que sonaba mucho con tan solo girarse en la cama, el cobertor estaba manchado, el closet era abierto, frente a la cama y su perchero principal es un tubo de PVC azul. Se escucha TODO (la aislación sonora es mala) los ruidos de las otras habitaciones, las cañerias, imposible dormir y descansar. Nos fuimos al hotel Nubes de Quinchao un verdadero Hotel Boutique. No pierda su dinero en este Hostal con precio de Hotel de Lujo, porque esta a años...

This hotel has awesome views from all rooms! It is elevated and all rooms face the sea so the views you get from bed are stunning!|Rooms are simple and in good vives with the island.
