This is a small, simple, family run Hostal. I only slept there for 2 nights and it was okay for that amount of time. Rio Tranquilo is one of the bases for exploring Lago General Carrera and Region and it's one of the very few small villages in the area (and that offers mini markets, 1 petrol station, and a few restaurants - one of them, located in this place). The rooms are basic, old mattresses but if you get a nice room in the top floor the view is amazing (if it's sunny). Family running it is very nice. The room was clean, the breakfast was served in the morning when you were ready and the owner was super sweet. ||||Good information to have, you can see the cathedral / capillas two ways - with a boat or on a kayak. To go out on kayak you'll need a group of at least three to four people. This probably isn't as much of an issue in high season, but I was there at the end of winter before spring. I would highly suggest doing both if you can!||||Thanks for...
