The stay at Patagonia Camp was a dream come true! I can’t speak highly enough of the terrific staff and accommodations here — they took care of every single need/want and then some. The trip began with a liaison and a driver for Patagonia Camp meeting us at the airport holding a sign with our name. They whisked us off into the Parque National de Torres (a 1 hour journey) where we arrived at the hotel and to a welcome cocktail. The location is STUNNING! We booked a luxury yurt with a jacuzzi and it was certainly worth the slight upgrade. Each night the staff prepared the jacuzzi upon our request and we could enjoy the beautiful landscape while relaxing in the hot tub. The yurts are so comfortable and are the definition of luxury. They are excellently heated and we slept beautifully with the murmur of wind and light rain tickling the outside of the yurt all night. The first evening began with a general orientation and a discussion with the Head of Excursions with what we wanted to do while we were staying there. They are so organized with taking care of every detail of the excursions. They offer snacks and a delicious buffet table to build your own sandwich. Additionally all the guides carried soup, fresh fruit, chocolate bars, tea/coffee, and more. You really felt like you didn’t need to worry about a thing but enjoying the adventure and the great outdoors! Also all the guides we had were fantastic! They were attentive to the needs of the group, fun and energetic, as well as so knowledgeable about the history and details of Patagonia. Tours we took: Altos del Torres — highly recommend! Base of Torres del Paine — crowded but iconic Historic Patagonia — for wildlife lovers (we saw a puma! amongst many other animals) Boat trip to the Grey Glacier - it was an additional cost of 85.000 Chilean Pesos. Very relaxing and so cool to see. What was an absolute highlight of the trip was the Michelin-Star quality dining at Patagonia Camp. Each meal was an incredible 3 course meal that could compete with the most excellent fine-dining in the world. We were blown away with all the dishes we got! They additionally pair every dish with a elegant wine pairing (Chilean wine from the Casablanca Valley). The details of each dish were executed flawlessly and highlighted local protein and flora — some of the dishes had my wife and I literally speechless! And the drinks/cocktails! AMAZING! The mixologist Andreas put together craft cocktails that you would only find at the most upscale bars/hotels around the world. These were complex cocktails that included smoke, in-house infused liquors, home made ginger beer, local ingredients, and much more. Believe me when I say you could travel to Patagonia Camp for the food and drinks alone (take a look at the posted pictures). Everyone at the staff is so accommodating and excellent at their job. I encourage you to call them in advance of your trip (everyone speaks excellent English for English speakers) and ask any questions about booking and traveling with them. They make you feel like both family and royalty! The saddest part of trip was leaving this magical place — it literally felt like a dream. Do yourself a favor and come to Patagonia Camp for the most luxurious, glamorous, and beautiful trip of your life.

Pros: - Amazing Service & Hospitality: The staff is friendly, proactive, smart, and just generally really good at what they do - We really loved how they interacted with guests in a personal way (as long as guests did too/wanted that that makes the experience that much more fun and unique. - The Hotel itself: Stunning location, really beautiful/warm/welcoming main lodge/dining room/bar and excursion room - Yurts are really cool w/ very comfortable beds and linens, good shower pressure, and lots of windows to open to enjoy the beautiful cool weather (heater too, but we didn’t need it). On Google Maps the hotel is listed as a 3 Star hotel, which must be an error or because it isn’t a traditional hotel - Patagonia Camp is a 5 Star hotel. - Delicious/Fun F&B: Breakfast is an excellent buffet spread and you can order eggs cooked a specific way, omelettes, and waffles as well if you’d like. We did excursions every day so we did a “box lunch” each day which was making your own sandwiches from a buffet each morning, but there were a LOT of options of breads, meats, cheeses, vegetarian options, condiments, toppings, etc along with fresh trail mix, brownies, and cookies - All really tasty. Dinner was buffet a couple of nights we were there - Delicious huge spread and menu waiter service the other nights. When we saw the dinner menu each night we were not excited about the options, yet each night we were proved wrong because the food was delicious. Bar service is a real highlight - the bartender, Francisco, is a real pro and super kind and curious to boot. - Excursions! We did Base of the Towers, Pingo Beach & Grey Lake, and the French Valley. We were lead on our excursions by Javiera who our entire group adored and Carlos/Gonzalo who was very funny and engaging. We are not big hikers and really pushed ourselves on this trip. Both of our guides made us feel very safe and did an excellent job balancing supporting us and pushing us. All the vans are new and clean and the different drivers all have fun engaging personalities (and lots of good, fun, and often funny playlists). - Other Guests: We’ve never been anywhere like this before (high end all inclusive resort domestic nor international) so we didn’t know what to expect from the other guests. While we were there it was a great mix of couples in their 30’s-70’s ranging from people like us for which this is a big splurge and those who travel to amazing places like this regularly throughout the year and everyone was friendly. There were a couple of families and friends traveling together, but it was mostly couples and the interaction with other guests was definitely one of the highlights for us - We made friends that we’ll definitely be keeping in touch with. Cons: - Zero/None/Nada - Not a real “Con,” but we wish there was more merch/clothing in the gift shop - We aren’t big gift shop people, but Patagonia Camp is so special and we wish we had a couple of articles of clothing to remember our trip from This visit was a REALLY big splurge for us - We saved up for a while, planned our two week trip around these four nights and all of our expectations were met and and exceeded - Patagonia Camp is an all time favorite for us!

I always understood that the Burned Bridge (Puente quemado) as it was named, that was located at the South of Torres del Paine National park was the original shortest connection with the town of Puerto Natales. My understanding was that the burning of the bridge could have been due to Cerro Castillo people that needed tourists to pass by, as they had the longest connection. However the rivalry was with a hotel located at the other side of Río Serrano, -a cristal clear river-. The hotel had an excellent restaurant, that captured many customers from other lodges in the park. The story I am focusing now is older than the burned bridge, it started when investors negotiated with the government that they would invest in a tourist center if the government constructed a road. During 40 years they had a legal battle until the government agreed to construct the road that would end where the burned bridge was located, not only serving the park but all the infrastructure of the south side of the river Serrano which could only be reached by boat. The tourist center that was constructed is called Camp Patagonia, which is located at Lago el Toro, lake that is about 10 kilometers from the Torres del Paine Park. The architect defined that the rooms would be a Mongolian Yurt of 20 square meters each. They are all luxury bedrooms, some with jacuzzis and scattered in the forest, avoiding cutting trees. All pathways are wooden bridges about half a meter over the terrain to avoid destroying the environment. The main reunion center and restaurants have trees in between, showing that the arquitectural design had to respect nature. The lake has no housing or any other constructions, except a resort to the south. I could not see any boats, only Kayaks from. Camp Patagonia. My next trip to the park will try to stay on this beautiful lodge.

I truly loved my experience at Patagonia Camp and did not want to leave. I made the mistake of not extending my time here. From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed, all of my needs were tended to. Honestly, my needs were anticipated before I could even express them. The entire team was incredibly thoughtful. For instance, I spoke of how I like to bring back the local kitchen spices and oils for my sister as a souvenir. While they didn't sell something on the property, they went to Puerto Natales and grabbed some for me to bring back. ||The exclusion team is EXCEPTIONAL. The guides are all incredibly knowledgable about the area and take such pride in teaching you about the national park, the flora and fauna within, as well as its history. They also take care to advise on the best excursions for your fitness level and complement it with the weather. I really wanted to complete each trek of the W circuit during my stay. It looked as though it would not happen given there weren't enough people to go on the last trek I needed, but the team found a way and it made my time there incredibly special.||The location is quite remote, but it is about 20 minutes from the entrance to the national park. You are transported to each excursion by a team member and the logistics are completely taken care of. You really just need to show up on time.||The yurts were incredibly clean and cozy. There is ample space and was perfectly heated upon arrival from each excursion. The only noise I heard in the evening were the winds of Patagonia. That did not bother me and added to the experience, but if that is a concern they do provide ear plugs. The yurts were also thoughtfully designed: there are coat hooks above the heaters so you can dry off any wet clothing or jackets. I have zero complaints on the food. Each night dinner was three courses and you can opt for as many, or as little, as you wanted. You also have the option to pair your courses with the recommended wine. ||I fully acknowledge the cost is high, however, for me this was a bucket list trip in which I had a budget to accommodate. With that being said, this is a place I would recommend ten times over and that you save for. I look forward to coming back...
