If you decide to stay with Ivan and Cris to enjoy the farmhouse and quietness of the nature you will not be disappointed. Surely this stay in La Cordoniz we will remember for long. The house is huge and full of light, decorated with paintings made by host and his son. Ivan was always very helpful with recommendations regarding the hikes and places to visit; we decided to have dinner in-house almost every night, because Cris is an exeptional chef, using the local fresh produce from the garden she created amazing dishes. The breakfast is also delicious, with home made yogurt, butter and new cake to your coffee every morning. We liked to rest in the garden and did not want to leave after wonderful 5 days souranded by calmness, birds singing and the quietness of the forest. The room was clean and tasteful furnished. We are going back to santiago with batteries...
Read moreThis is the best B&B we've ever been to. Iván and Cris were incredible hosts: as many travelers before have, we talked with Iván every morning (in both English and Spanish) to plan our day's itinerary, and we were not disappointed with a single place he suggested that we go. When it's sunny outside, the grounds are vast and impeccably maintained, and even include a set of romantic benches with a view of the Villarica volcano. And when it's rainy, the house itself is incredibly warm and cozy -- the décor and furnishings themselves are sights to behold. We cannot recommend La Codorniz highly enough --...
Read moreMy wife, son (21) and daughter (17) had a wonderful 3-night stay at La Codorniz. We stayed in 2 impeccably clean and comfortable rooms with private baths (all rooms have private baths). Ivan was the perfect host who felt like a close long term friend by the end of our stay. He met us as we arrived early and let us check out late. The grounds are stunning and Ivan was happy to give us a tour. Each day started with a delicious and bountiful breakfast (included) of home made treats and Ivan’s advice for the day’s adventures. He even prepared a bagged lunch for our hike to the top of Volcan Villarrica. We had a rented car which is needed to enjoy this area of Chile. We found the place easily. I can not recommend LaCordoniz more highly. It is truly a magical place and we hope to return...
