We don't like breakfast in the hotel, so we booked a room with single breakfast in order to save cost.||When we check in, we are told that we need to pay for breakfast for one person, whether breakfast is used or not.||As it was raining heavily outside, it was not convenient to go to another hotel, so we had to check in.||After checking the reservation confirmation letter, we found no such statement.||There are complimentary breakfasts in hotels in China, but we have never encountered mandatory breakfast consumption.||||2. The next morning, we got up for breakfast. Breakfast was arranged in the lobby bar on the first floor, not buffet breakfast. The breakfast with an extra charge of nearly 200 yuan did not look as expected, and there were few varieties, which were not as good as those of Hanting’s breakfast. There are only quick-frozen steamed buns, fried eggs, vegetables, pickled porridge, and the only meat dish is chicken feet|| ||3. Ein prachtvolles Hotel in einer Kolossalanlage. Wenn man vergoldetes Besteck beim Frühstück mag, den Kolosalstil der geamten Anlage, der doch an frühere (kommunistische) Zeiten erinnert, schätzt , dann ist man hier jedenfalls bestens aufgehoben, aber:||||die Zimmer sind fantastisch, riesig gross, die Betten hervorragend, man hat ein eigenes Polstermenu aus dem man seinen Wunschpolster wählen kann, der Bereich Vorraum, Garderobe, Bad, Dusche und WC ist so gross, wie in einem durchschnittlichen japanischen Hotel ein Doppelzimmer. Es gibt eine künstlichen offenen Kamin und täglich ein "evening service". Ich mag es eigntlich nicht, wenn man in einem Hotel zu abendlicher Stunde für ein solches Service gestört wird, aber hier wird das zelebriert und ich habe es nicht verweigert:||der Bademantel wird ins Bad gehängt, Pantoffel zum Bett gestellt, die Vorhange und Shades zugemacht, der Kamin angeworfen und, und, und....und es gibt taglich eine kleine Überraschung in einem schönen Säckchen. Viele Kleinigkeiten im Zimmer tragen zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt bei.||||Internet funktioniert sehr gut mit W-Lan im ganzen Haus, im Fitness-Center hat man einen tollen Ausblick und ist meist allein. ||||Das Frühstück ist einfach genial, eines der besten und umfangreichsten Frühstücksbuffets, die ich kenne. Ich habe nichts gefunden, das es am Buffet nicht gibt, perfekt.||||Der Eingangsbereich ins Hotel ist so riesig, dass man zuerst nicht weiß, wo man hinsoll. Das freundliche Personal weist den Weg, gute Englischkenntnisse, die über good morning oder good evening hinausgehen, sind allerdings nur bei der Minderzahl des Personals vorhanden.||||Die Lage am olympischen Park gegenüber dem Schwimmstadion und dem grossen Olympiastadion Birdsnest ist weit von jeglichen Zentren in Peking entfernt, aber in fussläufiger Entfernung zum neuen Convetion-Center. Wenn man also dort zu tun hat, ideal, sonst nur sehr beding gut. Auch manchen Taxifahrern, die einen aus dem Stadtzentrum wieder zum Hotel bringen sollten, ist vor allem in den Rushhours der Weg oft zu weit und sie wollen nur zu Wucherpreisen dort hinaus fahren.||||All in all ein Luxushotel, das in jedem Detail und Service auf diesen Luxus setzt und dafür auch den entsprechenden Preis verlangt. Trotz der Menge von Personal doch unpersönlich. Vielleicht ist bei manchen Dingen weniger ein bisschen...

I stayed in 1810 and the location was amazing with a fabulous view of The Birds Nest and The Cube. The room was lovely and big, the bedding was silky soft, warm and luxurious, I had a lovely fire effect, gorgeous toiletries, a choice of 6 types of pillow!, a bath with TV, a wonderful rainfall shower. I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the UK and this hotel room was one of the best I have stayed in. The price is really reasonable. Mr Wong from the hotel was wonderfully helpful and the fresh flowers were innovative and exciting. A fantastic hotel and I will absolutely be back, I only wish I could have...
