ROYARD Hotel — Hotel in Beijing

First the good sides, - they provided fruit plate as per picture every day- I was given one free breakfast. - The room inside was clean Now the negatives - - the check in process was slow and communication was an issue so i had to use translator before one guy (looked like from hotel) helped me answer a few questions. - wifi info or breakfast location or timing was not given- the hallway was dusty from renovation works down the hall and dirty (covered in dust) in all over the places. - when requested they could not provide universal adapter so i can charge by phone nor they told me where i can buy one. Finally they directed me to the store in the next building which was not helpful. - For the price it was not worth it. i could have stayed in a very good hotel for the same or slightly more price. - The fruit plate was good but could have been lot better based on the online pictures. - Trip. com should investigate further on the quality of the services provided by this hotel and downgrade it so that customers like us do not walk in expecting better services. IMO it's a good hotel. Location wise- not good for commuting. We were part of a group tour so we had transport all the time, it wasn't an issue. But from the city center, about an hour's drive. There's a convenience store next to the hotel, but not 24/7. There were also 2 Chinese restaurants with rice meals. Nearest ATM was about 2-3 blocks away. Rooms were good sized, with complimentary bottled water each day. Hangers, slippers, toiletries, hair dryer were provided. In the shower, there's shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There was no bidet tho. Hot shower and faucet worked well. 👍🏻 Good water pressure. We had requested for room cleaning and everything was tucked and folded when we came back. Breakfast was from 7-9am or 9:30. A good amount of food options, multiple vegs, meats, breads. Except for the location which is close to china exhibition centre, everything about this hotel is very bad. The service is very bad. The breakfast is terrible, the corridors are smelling of cigarettes, the room is smelling cigarettes, the linen is smelling cigarettes, the floor is washed but not cleaned so there is lot of water and one walks he can slip and fall away, the best hotel TO AVOID COMPLETELY. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND OR BOOK THIS HOTEL . There are so many good hotels in China, why can not these peoiple learn. The front desk staff are VERY VERY GOOD NAD VERY VERY HOSPITABLE AND SUPPORTING.
