中和坊酒店 — Hotel in Dali City

This was one of the better hotels we stayed during our Yunnan Holiday tour. We fell in love at first sight fascinated by the red tall Chinese structure that covered the pathway to the hotel entrance. The lobby was Chinese inspired designed. ||||Hotel is close to the Ancient City but we did not have the time to walk over. Room is comfortable and reasonably spacious with the windows opening out to the courtyard. The best part is the dining area on the 3rd floor not because of the food but the view. The view for the dining verandah was absolutely stunning. We celebrated our mid-autumn festival at the verandah watching the night fireworks while having beers and moon cakes. The hotel & rooms are all furnished in traditional Chinese style. The views overlooking the old town in the night are magnificent.||||Rooms are large & comfortable with provisions of toiletries, slippers, fridge, safe & hairdryer. Teabags are supplied, but if you need coffee, you would need to bring your own.||||There is nothing in the neighbourhood except for karaoke lounges in the night.||||Breakfast was standard Chinese fare, but watch the unsafe step leading from dining area to the servery area.
