Hilton Fuzhou — Hotel in Fuzhou City

The hotel is elegant with great amenities and upscale decor. However, the hallways were filled with a noticeable cigarette smell. Additionally, I had an unpleasant experience at the swimming club, where wearing a swim cap was mandatory. I asked the staff to charge the cap to my room, but was later informed that their payment system was down and I needed to pay immediately. Without my phone on me, I insisted on billing it to the room. Later, I fell asleep due to jet lag, only to be abruptly awakened by a call asking me to sign for the swim cap purchase. Nice hotel that is centrally located in Fuzhou. Hotel lobby is on the 40th floor. Breakfast is on 39th floor. Rooms are decently provisioned, quiet, spacious and amenable. Two bottles of still water are provided daily. Bathroom tap water is not drinkable. Breakfast is in a large restaurant with many local and western cuisines catered for. Something sorely lacking is the availability of plain cold water. Bizarrely, be prepared to hear Christmas carols blaring out if the restaurant speakers at any time...

Our family of five spent 9 nights here this summer, and we truly had a wonderful stay. We had two rooms, both spotless and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to keep our rooms close together, which meant a lot to us. The location couldn’t be better—it’s perfect for trying local food and is just a short walk to many of the main attractions. We made so many great memories here and can’t wait to come back...
