Chimelong Panda Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

We stayed in the Prince Family themed room and everything was great! The customer service at the Panda Hotel is great! They installed a guardrail for the little one immediately upon request. There were 2 bath towels in the bathroom, but we were 4 people. Upon calling the front desk, they immediately provided additional amenities and even extra water bottles. Upon check in, the associate at the desk told us that the breakfast buffet is open daily from 7AM to 11AM, however when we got there at 10AM, the buffet was in the middle of being closed. This was upsetting as the kids had just sat down to eat and all the buffet items were removed. The sign outside the restaurant also listed the breakfast end time to be 11AM. We went to the front desk and complained right away, to which the manager apologized and told us that there was a misunderstanding and that the end time is actually 10AM. She offered a discount on the dinner buffet and a VIP shuttle to the Safari Park, which was not bad. Overall, it was a great trip and the kids enjoyed and did not want to leave. The little details of everything being catered towards children is what really made the difference. From the drinking cups, to the dental kits, to the bathrobes and slippers to the baby toilet seat on all the hotel toilets. We will definitely come back to the hotel...

Hotel is very cool, able to see peacocks, rabbits, giant birds while eating breakfast and also in the lobby as well. It is a big hotel so we had to take time to go from 1 end to the other.You have to be on the advanced user of Wechat/Alipay to fully enjoy chimelong if you are not a local. Ordering room service requires wechat and also i had to connect to their wifi to access the food menu. there is also a convenience store at lvl 1, also a vending machine (using wechat) at every lift lobby.Take note that you have to walk 10-15mins out of you want to order food.Buying of circus tickets etc, all using wechat. For foreign travelers, we have to go to the ticketing station to register our faces.It is more of a themepark for locals, have to squeeze in the buffet line + shuttle buses to ferry you to the attractions. Managed to take the free cable car and see the panda at the zoo.The circus is a MUST GO, super impressive, upgrade to the VIP if you can, don't seat too near the front, the middle lane has performances as well.Recommended for family...

They ranked themselves as Five Star Hotel. It's not. It's three star rating at best. Here are reasons:- the carpet is filthy. Both wife and I got beriberi from the hotel floor - dozens of bubbles appeared on our feet two days after checking in. the hotel SCAN your face when checking in, claiming it a police requirement. It's a lie. We checked in real five star hotels in CBD Guangzhou, and they did not require FACE SCANNING. It locked all doors to balcony. If you want to open doors to balcony, they would ask you to sign a document claiming IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY if kids fall. Once they unlocked the doors, you are not able to lock it even with kids. Why don't the stupid hotel have the door lock higher up so that only adults could unlock and lock? It's smelly - you will smell animal poo when on balcony. It's noisy - the circus kept...
