I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kaiserdom Hotel (Guangzhou Baiyun Airport) during a four-night business trip to Guangzhou City, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.Check-In & Staff:The check-in process was smooth and quick, with friendly front desk staff who offered a warm welcome and useful tips about local dining. Special thanks to Michelle at the concierge desk who helped secure last-minute reservations at a popular steakhouse nearby.Room:I stayed in a deluxe king room on the 18th floor with a stunning skyline view. The room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and featured a large, comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and a well-lit work desk. The bathroom was modern, with high-quality toiletries and a spacious walk-in shower.Amenities:The hotel offers a well-equipped fitness center, a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city, and a quiet business lounge—perfect for remote work. I also appreciated the complimentary coffee and pastries in the lobby every morning.Location:Centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, the hotel is within walking distance of Times Square, Bryant Park, and multiple subway stations, making it easy to get around the city.Dining:The in-house restaurant, Elevé, serves a fantastic breakfast buffet and an impressive dinner menu. The truffle risotto and sea bass were standouts.Final Thoughts:Kaiserdom Hotel (Guangzhou Baiyun Airport) delivered exceptional comfort, service, and convenience. I would highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers looking for a premium experience in the heart...
Read moreWe stayed here in a layover from Australia to the UK with China Southern. The name suggested it was an airport hotel - it is not. It’s at least a 15 - 20 minute drive. They do offer a shuttle which was very handy. We had a triple room with no window which was fine and all we needed. There were some niceties - tea facilities, slippers etc. However there was a dreadful sewerage smell in the bathroom which became worse when the tap was run or toilet flushed. So much so that even after a long flight, we decided not to use the shower. The bedding seemed clean but the room itself was not. There was no food available so we went for a wander and found a local restaurant. The hotel is well away from the tourist areas and no one had any English ( which of course is not a criticism - we were in China after all). The desk staff were very nice and the shuttle bus was there when requested the next day. But the smell of the bathroom and the lack of cleanliness in the room made me cancel our return...
Read moreThe pickup service driver was a bit impatient. Though the check in was fast, the room was different from the pictures; it was quite old. Saw two crocoaches in the room...so wondering about the cleanliness... In the shower, there was no label for which was the shower gel and which was the shampoo, had to use whichever. The good thing about this hotel, I guess, is the location as there is a night market within walking distance. The soundproofing of the room is very poor as until at almost 4 a.m. we could still hear people walking and talking outside the room. There were also mosquitoes buzzing the whole night...The drop off service to the airport which we reserved with the reception the night before depature was not booked at all and had to wait for the receptionist to contact someone who was willing to come over to take us to the airport...Overall, it was a bit of a let down. Won't...
