Kyriad Marvelous Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

Disappointing Stay and Missed Airport Fetch at Kyriad Marvelous Hotel (Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport)I recently stayed at the Kyriad Marvelous Hotel (Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport) for two nights. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of the positive reviews I read online, which makes me question their authenticity.From the very beginning, the check-in process was unpleasant. The staff displayed a rude and unwelcoming demeanor. When they provided the initial Wi-Fi username and password, it turned out to be incorrect. We returned to the lobby to address the Wi-Fi issue. Instead of simply providing the correct credentials, the staff member became impatient and took our phone to set up the connection themselves. When we politely requested the username and password for our computer, they responded with a dismissive attitude, stating they "already set it up" and questioned why we needed the information. We explained the initial credentials were wrong, and they finally provided the correct username and password written on a piece of paper, further demonstrating their lack of courtesy. Housekeeping was another area of disappointment. After our first night, we requested room service. Despite confirming our room number and promising to clean the room later, housekeeping never arrived. Returning to the hotel in the evening, we found our room untouched. We ended up having to replenish our own water bottles and toilet paper.The airport fetching service we booked was another source of frustration. We arrived in the lobby early for the arranged pick-up time. However, when the pick-up time approached, we were informed that the car had already left for the airport without us!* There was no apology or explanation for this missed pick-up. Thankfully, another driver was present in the lobby and was able to arrange alternative transportation to ensure we reached the airport on time. This incident was a stressful and concerning experience.Overall, my stay at the Kyriad Marvelous Hotel was a frustrating one. HOTEL REWARDSThis is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Rome & its people instead of a cold impersonal hotel. The owners & staff make you feel like part of their family and give wonderful support in every need of your visit ex. tours.& transportation. They speak very good English and their breakfast & coffee are excellent and will accommodate any request if possible. Excellent location, superb services, helpful staff, waht else do you need? Will definitely come again to this place. Very satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, the size of the room, the helpfulness of the staff at the front desk (all of them during our stay), they even go out of their way to guide you through the places to visit in Rome. The breakfast was to our expectation. The area is central even if one wishes to walk around. The only thing is that the room is hot, does not have enough light and no air comes in even if you open the window as it is sourrounded...
