We are independent travellers and we wanted to get away from the crowds of Guilin and Yangshuo. We decided to visit Xingping.||||Kep, a hotel receptionist is the only person that spoke english. We travelled for a month all over China and she's probably one of the best english speaker we've met. Not bad for a self-taught. She arrange for my tour and provided tips. She provided excellent customer service and will do everything to make your stay at this hotel great. She will make you feel as a family or friend than a guest at this hotel. She personally let me borrow mud boots ( I was going to muddy section of the Li River, and raining all the time) and she surprisingly came back to the hotel she was off and gave us fresh eggs for breakfast because we had to leave at 4am to photograph the sunset and it was too early for their restaurant to open! What a great person!||||The location might be confusing at first since its away from the center (bus station) or "action". If youre looking for night life, restaurants, bars, etc..., this hotel and Xingping, in general is NOT for you. I realize that we came to Xingping to get away from that in the first place and experience rural China (as its quite disappointing to see hordes of tourists even in the worst weather of winter). This hotel is along the Li river. It was calm, peaceful, and rarely saw someone going up or down river (but Im not sure during non-winter season) and I could easily imagine obnoxious tourists invading this beautiful place. They have a restaurant in house and food was excellent. Walking a long the Li River at night is a bit strange and worrisome. It is very quiet, homes are sparse, and the street do not have lights and it is littered with un-marked graves (people in the past did not read and write) along the side streets. ||||I would go back and stay...
Read moreThe original reivew missed my name. Here is what I have to say with some minor amendments. I thought the hotel was difficult to get to but it turned out fine. In April 2015, we took a "bamboo" raft from south of Guilin and about 1 hour 30 minutes later, we found ourselves getting off at what the locals refer to as Jetty Number 9 in Xing Ping. That's the scene on the back of a ¥20 note. The hotel is right in front of the small jetty. |The first impression of the hotel is quite good. It must be the smartest inn on that 500m long river embankment. |It's a 20 to 30 minute leisurely walk to the old town of Xing Ping or 10 minute drive by car (complementary by hotel). Stayed 2 nights. Had a room with balcony facing the river. Cannot see the river because of the bamboo trees. Room is pleasant and clean. Washroom with shower, no bath. Wifi ok. |Breakfast is simple Chinese food (simple Western option available) and very cheap (around ¥30-40).|Dinner is excellent but not cheap by local standard (reasonable by tourist standard). We had the signature "Beer Fish" (around ¥130) for two nights in a row. |The roof has a bar but under-utilized. The hotel has about 12 rooms on 3 levels. No lift. Staff friendly. English acceptable. Cheap bike rental. Good base to do bamboo raft tours and visit other places....
Read moreService:The staff at Yangshuo Jingran Landscape Hotel were warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with any requests. Check-in was smooth, and they provided helpful recommendations for exploring the nearby Lijiang 20 RMB Scenic Spot. The service was attentive without being intrusive, making our stay comfortable.Facilities:The hotel’s location is its biggest highlight—right by the stunning Li River, offering breathtaking views of the karst mountains. The rooms were clean and cozy, with traditional Chinese decor that added to the charm. Some areas could use minor updates, but overall, the ambiance was peaceful and well-maintained. The outdoor seating areas were perfect for enjoying the scenery.Food:We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a mix of Chinese and Western options. The local dishes, especially the Guilin rice noodles, were delicious. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was also good, with fresh ingredients and flavorful preparations—though a wider variety would have been nice.Overall:A fantastic choice for travelers wanting to immerse themselves in Yangshuo’s natural beauty. Great service, a serene atmosphere, and tasty food made our stay memorable. Would definitely return!Highly recommended for...
