We booked 3 rooms via ctrip and contacted the hotel 3 weeks before checked in date to request for the rooms to be close to each other. We didn’t get any response from the hotel. We arrived at 5pm and rooms were not available, the receptionist does not listen! I told him we have 3 rooms, gave him all our IDs, he gave me 1 room key. I asked what about the other 2 rooms, he then asked oh, you gave two rooms? I said no, we have 3 rooms! It was just me and him in the conversation but he just doesn’t wanna pay attention! So the other two rooms were not ready, he told me to go for dinner and he’ll send the other 2 keys to our room. After dinner it was 8pm we went into our room, key’s weren’t there, I went back down to reception and found him, he then goes and get our cards. He doesn’t feel like it’s his fault and just doesn’t wanna deal with me. He shouldn’t be working if he doesn’t want to do his job.Room carpet was dirty but everything about the room was great. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were all well mannered. Faculties were great. I would give the hotel all 5 stars except for the guy at reception, and the fact that our rooms weren’t ready till 8pm that was ridiculous. After travelling for 3 hours from Guilin all we wanted to do was rest...
Read moreIt's part of the Garden Inn brand, so obviously not the full Hilton experience. But nevertheless, it is a fantastic experience. ||Breakfast is on the more limited side and there did not appear to be other meals available, although reception does have a good range of noodles and snacks you can eat in your room. The layout of the room helps. The entrance has a sink and area for food prep and the shower and toilet are separate closets. There is a room with washing machines - more hotels should have these.||The whole place has a Japanese vibe, but there were no hooks in the bathroom area. The toilet has built in bidet etc. They have a very well-run tour desk and we made full use of it. The value of these is excellent. There is a pony ride facility opposite, which is inexpensive, and the tour they offer is excellent.||My one quibble is that they could be clearer with their arrival instructions. We arrived from Guilin and the taxi driver overcharged us (claiming that he misunderstood how far this place would be!). Yangshuo high-speed rail station is obviously much closer.||We chose not to stay in Guilin at all and spent 4 nights here and it was...
Read moreThis is a stylish new hotel that opened in 2024, located in Xingping Town, Yangshuo County, Guilin. It’s just a 10-15 minute walk to Xingping Ancient Town and the famous 20 RMB scenic spot. Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Li River, the hotel boasts a stunning environment. The rooms are truly impressive—spacious and well-equipped. I stayed in a ground-floor room, and stepping out onto the terrace revealed a small private garden facing the mountains. Sitting outside with friends, chatting while soaking in the beautiful scenery, felt incredibly relaxing and carefree.
Beyond the garden’s little iron gate lies the hotel’s inner courtyard, featuring an infinity pool that overlooks a large lawn. In the distance, you can spot a few horses grazing, adding to the charm. I opted for the breakfast-inclusive package, and the buffet was decent—offering a fair variety of choices with satisfactory food quality.
Overall, a delightful stay with breathtaking surroundings—perfect for a...
