Guxitai Coffee was my first choice for afternoon coffee after touring the Xingping Old Town and before I went off to the Lijiang Boat Ride. I took a much needed break there. It shares the outdoor coffee drinking space with the Old Theatre itself, which lies right next door. When I passed by, its list of rice milk coffee caught my attention. The rice milk was naturally sweet so there was no need for sugar. It was a very flavourful cup of coffee and I absolutely loved the experience there. The prices tend to be higher however but it is well worth it to spend some time there. They got our order wrong, giving us the wrong milk in the coffee. Instead of apologising they said it’s our problem as we’d already drunk a bit.
So not only will they give you the wrong drink, they will blame you for it too!
