LOCATION: The resort is perfectly situated in a quiet, private area with stunning views of the mountains and the Li River right beside it. Despite the tranquility, it's conveniently just a $5 Didi ride to downtown Yangshuo, making it easy to explore the local attractions. Additionally, the resort provides a complimentary shuttle to and from downtown at two specific timings, adding to the convenience. ROOM: The rooms at Li River Resort are incredibly spacious and impeccably clean. Each room features a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Li River, providing a serene setting for relaxation. The beds are extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. BREAKFAST: The resort offers an à la carte breakfast with an impressive variety of options, ranging from Western to Asian cuisine. Each morning, I looked forward to starting my day with a delicious and satisfying meal. SERVICE: Most importantly, the service at Li River Resort is superb, truly five-star. The staff, from the receptionist to the restaurant team, are friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a pleasant stay. Additionally, the staff speaks English, which makes communication easy for international travelers. In summary, Li River Resort is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Yangshuo. Its beautiful location, spacious and clean rooms, delicious breakfast, and outstanding five-star service make it a top-notch destination. I highly recommend it!

Lovely secluded boutique hotel by the Li river. We visited in mid December and it was really cold. Staff did their utmost to warm up the room including giving us heated blankets and going out to buy a new portable heater. Great place to just chill (especially since it was winter haha), take slow walks to town, get a massage in-room or the staff can arrange tours to popular sights for you, if you wish for more activity. Best of all was the food! The kitchen served up a good variety of western & Chinese meals that were so tasty and reasonably priced. We had hearty breakfasts and dinners there. Especially noteworthy were the fried jiaozi or dumplings that they make themselves daily. Would definitely stay again!

We travelled from Guilin to Yangshuo and checked in into this resort. It is the best we had during our China trip. The staffs at the reception were very friendly, helpful and always paid attention to the guests. The hotel is very clean. My family of 4 had a overly upgrade and stayed in the family suit with the breathtaking Mountains View. Just below the resort, Bikes can be rented by lovely people who also own the restaurant next door. The resort is not far from the city centre.. but still by foot it is 20-25 mins, by Bike it is only 12 mins or less. I would definitely recommend it.

What a dreamy hotel! Every time we drove by another hotel in Yangshuo, I thought, "Wow, their view is not as good as ours." The location is a bit of a walk from the main part of town, but I appreciated being away in the quiet. The area around West St can be quite noisy. The hotel rooms were so spacious and beautiful, and we loved being able to sip tea on the balcony and gaze upon the majestic karst mountains. The front desk staff is very friendly, and on our arrival, one person in particular was SO helpful (likely patiently spent maybe an hour helping us) with this payment issue we were having (with a Chinese bank card), when she could have easily just been like, "It's not working, just give me your American card" or something. They do have a laundry service, but it is 30 yuan per kg, which can add up (especially since I felt all my clothes were heavier because they got damp from the humidity), but there are also washers on the roof, which you can use for free (and then hand dry in your room). While we were in Yangshuo, there was constant torrential downpour, so there were a few afternoons, we just hung out in the hotel lobby/bar/restaurant area, which was so peaceful and quiet, with lovely views. The food and cocktails are just okay, but I enjoyed the fresh fruit juices and smoothies. I would also recommend using any of their drivers, especially to pick up / drop off at train stations, or for a day-long tour. They're very friendly and knowledgeable. On the one night we used a Didi driver, they refused to drive up the hill to the hotel (though the hotel drivers are happy to), and we had to trek up the very slippery and steep...

Excellent spot on the Li River, away from the noise of the once-great West Street, but still within a 20ish min walk mostly on a paved foot path from the restaurants, bars, and shops of the area. If you take the river cruise down from Guilin and disembark at Longtoushan Pier (I think that’s the name), the crowd will all head left to the city, but the hotel is to the right about 2k on foot. A bit of a trek with bags, but without bags it’s an easy way to and from the commercial area. Hotel was beautiful and clean as can be. Staff was maybe the best I’ve come across in China (I’ve been around a bit). Super helpful, accommodating, excellent English, and put together a great (and massive) Chinese breakfast. Had a big menu with western options too that served most of the day. Get a room with a balcony and pencil in time to chill at the pool and just do nothing . Great spot to have no agenda. There is a rental garage just across the small road with bikes and e-bikes. Prices are higher than in the city and quality was mid, but the convenience of being across the street balanced it out. To scoot to the half-moon arch are you need to ride through town first, but if you head the other direction, you hit small villages an winding scenic roads. Both good choices. Loved the hotel, wouldn’t stay anywhere else...
