Our family of 4 + the grandparents stayed here for 5 days before one of our sons checked into a language school where he'll be staying for 8 months in Yangshuo. Apologies for the book I'm about to write but we loved everything about our time at The Bamboo Leaf. Our family rooms were clean, spacious and the bed huge and comfy. The buffet breakfast had lots of variety especially for someone who has to avoid gluten/dairy like myself. We enjoyed the in-house restaurant dinners and also Sunny's Restaurant next door. Still can't get over how cheap food is here in China compared to NZ! The pool was used often especially with the hot temps between 28-37 degrees celcius. Our favourite activity was exploring the countryside on scooters hired from the hotel at 9 yuan per scooter per day. Other times we used the free shuttle transport to and from town which was so handy especially for the grandparents - they got lost in town, were hot and tired and had to call for a pick up using video call to help staff figure out where they were haha! But above all, we felt at home with the lovely friendly and helpful staff and enjoyed seeing their smiles every day. We definitely look forward to staying here again when we come...

Read moreFlawless hotel, by far the best we stayed in during our 3 week trip in China. Everything was clean, beautifully decorated and with a really nice vibe - it felt like a hotel in the Carribean / Hawaii. The service from everyone was also exceptional, the staff were super friendly, helpful and lovely, especially the ladies in the restaurant on level 6, who looked after us so well! The food in the restaurant was also excellent and we really appreciated the Western options, which really tasted lime what we'd get back at home. We had been craving that after so much time away! Free breakfast options were great and it's by far the best free brekkie we've had in china. Good views of the karst landscape as well. The reception staff staff also extremely helpful With bookings and arranging activites and transport. We also loved the free hourly shuttle into town and free bicycle rental, which made everything so convenient. Overall, the hotel felt like a luxurious oasis away and the perfect base from which to...
