I have stayed at this facility several times while conducting business in the area. I have found the staff to be very friendly and the facilities are overall quite nice.
However, I have a huge issue with the comfort level of the rooms over which they may have no control. The air conditioning is inadequate and I never feel comfortable. This may be unique to Americans or maybe just me but I don't find 22 C cool enough to sleep comfortably.
Upon interviewing the staff, I found out the coolest that the entire hotel temperature can be set at is up to the local government because of energy usage concerns. While that may work in China, it doesn't work for me so I'm being honest. That temperature difference between what I feel is comfortable and what they are able to provide are a big problem for me. They did bring fans up to my room but that was still inadequate. Their response was an honest attempt to fix the problem but the bottom line was that the problem wasn't fixed.
Also, the water temperature is not sufficiently hot to take a nice relaxing bath. Again, I am sure that is because they have to keep the temperature at a lower level due to energy concerns, but that doesn't change the fact that it isn't comfortable.
Internet service was spotty at times and they seemed to have no control of that feature.
Food in the Chinese restaurant was OUTSTANDING. Good variet of western and Chinese food selections on buffet for breakfast and dinner. Great service in the bar with James and his staff providing constant attention and friendly conversation.
The comfort levels for me though were a...
Read morethis hotel was located in Binjiang District and at first I had no idea this district is far away from downtown. There was no shuttle bus from the airport so we had to hire a taxi to get there and it cost 120 yuan. the area was quiet and there was a supermarket nearby. It would be convenient if you need anything. The breakfast was super with various choices and all the restaurants were incredible. Once again, this hotel was a bussiness hotel in my opinion. not only because it was far away from the downtown and all the sightseeing spots but also there were several meetings holding here during my stay. The daytime could be very noisy so you'd better out. The room was very comfortable with complimentary water daily, mini bar, iron bar and umbrella. However the room is not clean, even dirty. I requested a Make It Green project at the very begining and they didn't even clean my room. I had to call the front desk to ask someone to clean my room. The funny thing was they just emptied the dust bin without cleaning the floor. Could you imagine when I came back at 9pm and still find there were hairs on the ground? This was really horrible. All the staff there were friendly and willing to help. however more training was needed Go there if you are for bussiness, do not choose it if you are...
Read moreI choose this place on recommendations from my friends, and it did not disappoint in any way. A great place to stay, good location, great staff and good rooms. The hotel is maintained and managed very well, the rooms very neat and tidy kudos to the house keeping team.||||A special mention to the concierge team and restaurant staff. The chief concierge “Harbour” needs special mention. He and his team is always happy to help and they go over and beyond to make you welcomed and help you wether it is booking cabs, suggesting sightseeing, planning your weekends, eat outs etc.. Thank you “Harbour”. Like the Concierge and Front Desk team, special shout out to the restaurant team, they ensure they know the customer and his needs. I had to repeat couple of times as to how my morning tea need to be. From then on whenever I go, the tea is ready even without asking for it. Thank you Evelyn and Team.||||All in all an experience worth remembering for a long time. Thank you Four Points by Sheraton at...
