First thanks for your effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible
It was your effort but we will not return due to several issues
Check in – will be not possible without your help
We are 3 people and only got two welcome drinks
The Dinner Buffet was acceptable but the service on the lowest level
We arranged dinner for three person but got only two meat balls, one bowl of rice, two bowls of soup, …..
Further we asked for drinks but got only for each person one glass of warm water
The room more or less ok but in 1214 you should do some maintenance for the A/C
And some days it make big difference when you open the window
In the shower the drainage is not function so you can swim after you have taken shower.
On the 9th Sep in the morning we took breakfast around 8:45am / most of the plates being empty and we
had to ask to get some refills. Some plates not being refilled until we left.
Coffee Machine running out of coffee – it took 30 minutes to solve this problem.
Today morning we took breakfast already at 6:45am – more then 75% of the plates being empty
and your staff starting to bring the food out
Until 7:30am no bread/pastry was given only toast bread but the toaster didn’t work.
The egg/noodle station wasn’t in action until we left around 7:30am
Last not least – Checking out
Your staff (Lonnie) could not believe I pay for two rooms and need only one receipt.
To prepare the refund of the deposit took time as not enough money was in her desk – need to get from her colleague
She not asked for return the deposit receipt and also not asked for a signature after I got the refund.
SORRY – all means money
One more point – your vending machine should be checked as the drinks coming out very warm like
the machine is cooking it.
I really appreciate your effort but the action of your colleagues make bring it down to more than ZERO.
Wish you all the best for your future in the international...
Read moreHaving not stayed in a Holiday Inn property before I expected it to be a lower standard hotel than it was. ||Impressed from walking in with a spacious, well decorated lobby and friendly front-desk staff. The staff we dealt with had great English skills, certainly better than our Mandarin! Not all staff are English speakers but there was always someone on staff who was able to help with our more complex questions. ||The room was spacious and very clean and nicely decorated. For us the biggest problem with the hotel was that while each room has climate control, it's the model where they centrally switch to either heating or cooling. Even though it was winter, we like a cool room and were disappointed we couldn't switch to cooling. When we asked at front desk for instructions in case we were doing something wrong the proactively organised for a fan to be sent to our room. This was much appreciated. With the heating turned off and the window cracked open, the fan was enough to keep us nearly cool enough!||Hangzhou is such a massive city. This hotel is one of the newer areas surrounded by lots of expensive looking high-rise residential areas. It's not a pretty area but it's clean and there's plenty of shopping malls and local shops nearby. Behind the hotel near the stadium is a strip of local restaurants and supermarkets. I'd highly recommend the bao from the downstairs bao store! ||The swimming pool is great and it turns out that a hotel swimming pool might be the only place in China where you get...
Read moreSecond visit here. The area is dead. Most surrounding apartment blocks are completely empty, so there are few eating options immediately next to the hotel. However you can find some good places to go 10min walk up the road towards all the office blocks in the mall.||Apart from that, the area is nice with clean tree lined roads, and little noise. The train station is a short walk away and will get you downtown.||As seems normal for Holiday Inn in mainland China, the rooms are great. Ok my bathroom was small, but everything was there. The suites are well appointed and spacious. Even the aircon works - just. ||But also as is common for Holiday Inn in China, the hotel is let down by its F&B. The small hotel bar wasn't open. And ALL western food is either over or undercooked, or stale. Breakfast items run out quickly, and the single small coffee machine stops working when the grinds need to be emptied. The HI Hangzhou-Xiaoshan hotel 5 miles away upgraded its breakfast, and could teach this management team a lot.||In summary, stay here but don't try to eat or drink...
