Traveling to Hangzhou on business with quick one-night stay in Hangzhou to catch high speed train in morning.||I researched in advance the hotels close to East Train station and picked this one.||No regrets!||From airport we caught Uber which was about 70RMB. Highly recommend Uber in Hangzhou but need local Sim card with China cell # , functioning smart phone with APP and read and type Chinese. Also need to speak Putonghua when drivers call for pick up/clarify locations.||We checked in close to midnight. Whole atmosphere of hotel is quaint-more a Thailand or Bali vibe with lots "zen" inspired decoration- adds to the relaxing theme.||Our rooms were ready. Hotel has non-smoking floor- which I gratefully used!||Carpet looked brand new although a cream/white color.||Small bathroom with shower only. Really well designed- all LED lighting.||Small bar with kettle-both great quality local loose leaf packet Longjing tea and black tea. Sorry no coffee- even instant. So if you are java holic need to bring your own when traveling to this hotel.||Shower very strong stream. International style large cotton towels to get dry! Feels like home.||Small round table in room for your laptop, tablet. Did lack outlet close by for charging. Two USB style in-wall chargers next to bed- but crazy design only allowed one cable to be plugged in at a time. Rest of outlets close to floor or use the one at the tea/coffee bar.||If you wanted to watch TV several international stations like the Asia HBO, Channel News Asia.||Internet a bit slow- but to be expected. This time to China found a lot of the wireless networks using older software like Windows XP or Windows 7. I am by no means a tech guy- but Windows 10 machines seem to have some security issue logging on to these networks. Also security software keeps warning of some threats due to this condition. Apple is no issue at all.||Bed medium firm with pure white sheets and comforter. ||Weather turned a bit warm for March nearly 28 degrees C- so when I arrived window as open. However when I wanted to turn on the AC to cool the room down- fan just blew hot air even when adjusting the temp down to 13 degrees!||Breakfast- I would call China 5 star standards. Eggs, sausage, bacon- noodles, coffee tea, cheese even fresh yogurt! Coffee was so-so.||Front desk staff very well trained. ||I left something on the flight to Hangzhou. The staff called on my behalf and gave my info to airport lost/found team. Really a friendly crew of young people.||Called Uber to train station. True 5 minute ride for net 6RMB. Driver told us all of the details on train check in... etc. Who needs travel agent when you ask locals.||I agree with other reviewers that staff has limited English- but even if you are English speakers I would 100% recommend this hotel if you need to stay close to East High Speed...
Read moreCheckin 25 May 2024, we are a group of 3. We expect more comfort and breakfast from the previous review, however, the real experience we get:Location: for us it is quite far from Yinheng station (Metro Line19) if you walk it take around 10-15min, more time if you have your luggage or walk to HZ east station quite far too. If you plan to travel around XiHu lake, we strongly NOT recommend this place, coz Didi takes around 30 min. The only good thing is the supermarket, restaurant, tea shop, fast food are in the same place as the hotel.Room: normal standard. Maybe because it has operated for a long time, but compared with the other new smaller hotels in town or even the place we visit in wangxiangu, or huangling, those look more clean, comfort, air-flow than this hotel. Also the bathroom is normal. Walk way from elevator to the room can smell cigarettes.Breakfast: Fail a lot. We went for breakfast around 8:45 am. There are Not much choices. Also we saw many food are run out of station, the staff not refill many of them. Staff who work at the noodle station look lot of tired, with sweat on her face, some of them not cover mask when speaking/cooking. Public toilet: it is located on the 13th floor (for hotel guest) Room for men is dirty and old. Only 1 room for guest on this floor in which for guests who come for breakfast, gym and laundry. This hotel is a chain- hotel, room rental is not cheap, from our experience, we think the price we pay to other hotel can providd us the better location and foodsTotal...
Read moreThe hotel is minutes away from the train station and the main shopping district of Hangzhou which was probably the only positive thing about the hotel. Upon entering our room, the smell in the room was old, musty and dirty. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed properly, and the bathroom as dusty all around the back. The toilet seat had all the plastic lining coming away which made it look dirty and unhygenic. We had quite a busy itinerary, which meant we wouldn't be spending much time at the hotel. So we decided to stay put since we had already paid with no chance of a refund. However, it got worse. The blood on the 'clean' towels, no backup loo roll, and a late night visit by a persistent prostitute who knocked on our door twice in the same evening made us think twice about staying. We booked the hotel for four nights after seeing 'glowing' reviews on Trip Advisor but after the second night , we ran as fast as we could from the worst hotel we have ever stayed in to the nearby Regency Hyatt. Don't bother with Nerada. It is not worth...
