This hotel is conveniently located next to the large Hangzhou East train station which houses the adjoining metro and a bus terminus. Taxis are of course waiting outside. The metro takes you to the Xihu tourist area in 25 minutes.|| This is a place where there is less bustle and if not for the shops at the train station, this hotel would be quite isolated!|| So there are eateries at the station, some open all the way past midnight and opening very early. Some are foreign chains, many cater to local tastes. There are souvenir snack shops as well, all in a spacious uncrowded environment. || Rooms are nice and big for their price point. The fittings are clean and new as are the other facilities. A hotel breakfast is available but the station offers much more variety. || But a slight inconvenience is the sidewalk that leads to the train station being uncovered and you are exposed to the elements, albeit for a short while!|| A tip for getting here: if you ask for directions, do use the Chinese name jin3 jiang1 tou1...

Its location is very near to Hangzhou East Railway and Metro station (est. 5 to 10 mins walk), and the path taken to the train station is sheltered as you can walk through the underground carpark. Beneficial during rainy days. There are also many eateries nearby the hotel.||Our room is quite spacious for two. The bed is comfortable and the toilet area is separated (shower vs toilet bowl vs basin area), so one can shower while the other person can use the toilet bowl with ease.||The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a good stay.||Note: We have difficulty finding the hotel after we came out from the train station. The room was very small with a fake window - a window that opened into a ventilation shaft. No one told us that was the case. ||The lighting is bad in the hallways and there was the familiar din of cigarrette smoke in the hallways. ||We've stayed in some nice hotels in China, but this was definitely not one of them.
