I came here for 2 days/nights as my wife had a conference here. ||The rooms are best described as "high end rustic". The toilets are not enclosed but a curtain must be used. The furniture is all heavy wood as is the floor. ||All amenities are standard for the course. ||||If I had to criticize, it would be that the Hotel appears to nickel and dime the guests for anything and everything. From Bowling to playing pool, there are very expensive charges that one must pay for. Even the disposable room slippers cost if you want to take them home!!||Breakfast was just ok. The main reason this property does NOT get 5 stars is because the breakfast is simply not a 5 star breakfast. Neither is lunch. The selection is limited when it comes to vegetables and healthy fare. They have plenty of fried foods and meats along with frogs, snails, eels and other unrecognizable creatures. ||The breakfast and lunch was not bad, just not great. ||||The grounds are very nice with a lake in the back. There's also a nice park a few hundred meters away (less than 10 minute walk) that's nice to walk in. ||There's canoes to rent out back, but not opened until the Summer. ||||The pool was decent though a bit too may kids splashing around. Just means you have to go early. ||The steam room and sauna were in the locker room but disappointingly off! That's a no-no. I'd give 3.5 stars rather than 4 because of that. ||||I'm not sure how much it cost as my Wife's company paid, so I don't know if the value is good. For me, it seems like a nice 1-3 day stay is nice for a getaway as long as it's not over 600 - 800 rmb per...

Read moreWe stayed in the hotel for one night before we did some sightseeing in Hangzhou. The reason we chose this hotel was because it has quite a nice location with a pretty lake and it is no huge hotel complex. Furthermore, we wanted to have a hotel with an outdoor pool.||When we arrived, the staff was really friendly and the overall atmosphere in the entrance hall was very welcoming. During the Check-In procedure some problems occurred because the language skills of the employees are unfortunately very poor. It took some time to get a room but in the end it worked. The room itself was very clean, had enough space and was equipped with nice furniture. Then we went to the pool (took us some time to find it because the resort is quite big and the staff could not really explain the way properly). The pool was really nice; it was not crowded and clean. We really enjoyed the afternoon lying at the pool and taking a swim. In the evening we decided to have dinner in the hotel because it would have taken too long to drive somewhere else. The variety in the western style restaurant is very poor and if you are a vegetarian you can choose between a salad and a pizza. The service was friendly but very slow (even though we were the only guests). The breakfast on the next day was very good; it offered a wide range of chinese and western style dishes. All in all, the stay was good and relaxing but the staff should work on their language skills and it is a 40 minutes drive from Hangzhou (Railway Station to the hotel by taxi:...
