哈尔滨万达索菲特大酒店 — Hotel in Harbin

We spent Xmas in Sofitel Harbin and had a fabulous break. Everything was great, from the hotel limo pick-up at the airport, to the welcome on arrival, our terrific room, the hospitality in the Club Lounge, the breakfast and the joyful Xmas Dinner, complete with Santa wearing a protective mask.||Everyone knows that Harbin in the winter is really cold, but the warmth of the welcoming staff could not have been better. To name staff is difficult because I can't remember all of the names, but among them special thanks to Lydia who generally looked after us, Sybil in the Club Lounge, Guilio at breakfast and the driver who drove the airport limo as well as the bus to the Ice Festival.||There's a terrific park opposite the hotel that was covered in fresh snow throughout our stay and which has an excellent walking track as well as lots of family activity playing in the snow.||The Ice Festival was sensational, and a fast train day trip to the snow resort of Yabuli was also memorable.||Top marks to the hotel, the staff and to the sights of Harbin. Our 2020 Xmas was one...

I had a wonderful experience over at Sofitel Wanda harbin. It is just located beside a mall with supernarket. Less than a minute walk.

I was assisted by Bella during check-in and she helped me by doing a room change due to the weather change which causes the room to be warm. She made the whole process almost smooth with no error. I appreciate her patience and explanation during the process.

But there was a staff named Victoria who was unfriendly and didnt bother to assist us. She seems like a snob and her attitude was soo bad that my relatives were upset with her.

Another person to mention was Alice from the executive lounge. Very helpful and polite individual that made our holiday amazing!

What made this hotel great was the staff. As i was travelling with two elderly with limited mobility, they offered many assistance and small little action that captured our heart.

Pros: Check in was smooth and fast. Room is spacious enough and clean. Cons: 1) We complained that the aircon in the too is not cold enough. The attendant came in to check and told us to open the window to air to more airy! 😱 2) I used the laundry bag to carry my wet swim trunks. Upon checking out, they told me that the laundry bag is chargeable! Never in any of my hotel stay was i told that laundry bag is chargeable! 3) After checking out, depositing our luggage at the concierge, and back from a day trip. We asked the reception if we could use the gym shower facilities to freshen up, the receptionist told us with a straight and unfriendly face: nope, it’s not possible after you’ve checked out. In all my previous #Accor hotel stays, all allowed the guests to wash up, so was shocked to receive such treatment. Let alone from #Sofitel.
