Jiaxing Marriott Hotel — Hotel in Nanhu District

We spent a week here, and had a lovely time.||||Between the newness of the hotel, the construction work nearby, and the Covid-19 situation, there were a few minor mishaps. Nothing terrible, but I imagine that this will be an outstanding venue when those problems are resolved. They included: the swimming pool was closed (construction issues) --- but the staff (Ms Wu, Duty Manager, especially) resolved this by getting us access to the pool in the nearby Ramada (Thank you!); the executive lounge was closed (Covid-19, I believe. Again, though, the staff came through with breakfast in the main restaurant and a reasonable Happy Hour in the lobby); there were also a few instances of inexperienced junior staff not yet knowing how to do things correctly, but nothing really terrible.||||The room was beautiful. The main restaurant was excellent. In addition to the Duty Manager (Ms Wu), we also met Tony and a few other managers, all of whom were very nice, and did inspire confidence.||||I look forward to coming back...

Stayed here for a night and wished l’d stayed longer just to enjoy the facilities. This is a lovely new hotel with excellent rates. Our suite was spacious enough for our kid to roam around from room to room. The views were delightful to have. We had use of the lounge so was convenient to have dinner there since there was a good selection of tasty dishes from hot to cold food, drinks including dessert and alcohol. Breakfast was also very good again a variety of choices. Staff were also kind enough to let us take a small take away box for our child. Service was excellent, staff sure went the extra mile. This is how it should be for a 5 star hotel. The only con is the hotel is slightly out of town but a short bus ride is all you need to get around places. Also l’m not a fan of glass windows acting as a wall between the bedroom unless your exhibiting for your partner! It does make it look like a love hotel… However, l would still highly recommend a...

I only say probably because i've not staying in every hotel in Jiaxing||||But seriously, the new Marriott hotel is really great. They've just opened in June and they've hit the ground running. ||||The service is excellent. By my second day the staff at the breakfast buffet had remembered my and my colleagues drinks of choice. Everyone with whom we interacted was super friendly and attentive. They are working hard to deliver the Marriott experience and it shows. I met the manager, Tony, and he clearly is leading his team well. ||||I've not had a chance to test out the pool, gym, or the dinner buffet, maybe in a few weeks when i get back to Jiaxing, as this is for sure my new...
