宜必思青岛城阳酒店 — Hotel in Qingdao

Positives: 1. They put me on the top floor (13th) which limited the noise and car pollution. 2. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. 3. The air conditioning worked well. 4. The hotel is reasonably priced at 239 RMB per night. ||Negatives: 1. Water from the shower in the bathroom will get all over the bathroom floor if you don't use a bathroom towel to curb some of it. The drain is weak and the shower floor is on the same level as the bathroom floor. On top of that, the shower doors don't even reach the floor, so there is no way to block water from coming out. It makes no sense whatsoever. Ironically the hotel knows this due to the sign in the bathroom warning you to use a towel or you will slip (see picture attached) 2. For 20 RMB, you can order breakfast but don't get your hopes up. You'll get soup, fried rice, some fruit, cold ham, bell peppers, and a few small things that don't even make it worth 20 RMB. 3. Although located in the Koreatown of Qingtao, I found it very hard to find restaurants suited for solo travelers. If you don't speak Mandarin, you'll have a hard time asking for...

Other than the location and being clean nothing really good about the hotel.||While you cannot expect too much from an Ibis, this particular hotel left me completely disappointed. I was in a room on the 12th floor. The lifts are slow. The key card worked only after multiple attempts on the three days I stayed. On occasion I had to take the slow lift to have the key 're-programmed'.||The kettle did not work.||The complementary breakfast was adequate. For some reason they do not have butter.||They didn't have my laundry on time and I had to deal with a short tempered and rude staff member.||The rest of the staff were really friendly and helpful.||I'll stay here again only as a last resort. I stayed there 3 nights, the rooms are clean and neat, good WiFi signals at rooms, 15 min service,yeah they do it, easy check in & out and by the way the best of this hotel, I mean those young energetic and polite staff with smile on their face, they are really helpful,specially Janice and Tony, although their language is somehow weak,but they try their best. every thing you need like 24 supermarket, fast int`l foods like KFC,McDonald and pizza hut,night club and so on in just 5 min away.
