I am a traveler and had been traveling for over two months before arriving at the Hilton hotel. During my travels, I mostly stayed at hotels under the Huazhu and Marriott brands. However, I discovered that the Hilton had a prime location on Star Island and also received a Gold card membership from American Express, so I decided to stay at the Hilton. I was impressed by the hotel's service and comfortable environment, and I would have given it a perfect 10 rating and stayed for two weeks if not for what happened next. ||||During my first breakfast, I heard someone coughing loudly and found that it was the chef who was making dumpling wrappers, and he wasn't wearing a mask. I told a responsible server passing by, who then informed the chef and gave him a mask. I give this server 100 points! The next day, another server was sick and was wearing a black mask, and his voice was hoarse. The following evening, I felt tired and had diarrhea, and by night, I had a fever. On the fourth day, I bought a COVID-19 antigen test, and the result was positive! Even though I had not eaten any dumplings, I still couldn't avoid contracting the virus. On the fifth day, I left the Hilton with a tired body, wearing a mask, and gave a smile to the staff at the reception, knowing that it wasn't their fault. ||||I have been at home for six days now, and finally, I don't need to rely on medicine to reduce my fever and stop taking azithromycin, but I still need to drink more Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide Syrup for a few more days. ||Thank God for feeling...
Read moreIt has been quite a few years since I last visited Melaka. For this trip we specifically chose Double Tree by Hilton Melaka to stay.||The stay in this hotel does meet our expectations. The location to the hotel was ideally situated in an exclusive environment. I particularly want to compliment the reception staff (my apologies for not taken down their names) for their efficiency, friendliness, being so helpful and more importantly for their accommodating service. ||I must say the room is well maintained, clean and tidy. The lighting was sufficient to provide a cozy ambience. The refurbishment was well furnished and reflect a spacious movement around the room. The toilet amenities were useful and of quality. We also enjoyed our sleep as the area was quiet and the feeling of peace. ||The carpark location may be slightly out of the way but nevertheless access to it was |quite easy. However, the only setback was the lack of outlets and entertaining amenities within the hotel and outside surroundings.||We do look forward to enjoying another stay in...
Read moreExcellent value if you want a relaxing time in Qingdao away from the city center (beware this is actually quite a distance from the Beer Museum and other attractions). Stayed in an Executive Room on the 10th floor with a view of the bay. The hotel and its rooms are showing their age, but nothing to write home about. The executive lounge was closed for renovation, but the "Happy Hour" they provided in lieu was leagues better than what I would expect at a DoubleTree (and I doubt this will continue when the lounge reopens). Breakfast is decent and does not vary. Staff don’t generally speak English, but tried their best to help, which is what matters...
