Upon checking in, there was an English speaking guy who took me to the counter and made sure I was helped out properly. Since the front desk person didn’t speak English, the first guy stayed by my side until my check in was complete; he was very helpful and the check-in was very quick. Most of the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. In terms of dining and entertainment, the hotel has a decent location. There are plenty of convenience shops around along with some smaller restaurants; Knuckles bar happens to be just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The room was quite spacious with a panoramic view of the city on the 33rd floor. Once I returned to my room, this view made it a very serene night. It was so much easier to unwind.Unfortunately, there was construction going on across the street in the morning. That night was my birthday and stayed out late celebrating with friends; I planned to sleep in that morning but this was just impossible. The afore mentioned construction was EXTREMELY loud, which made it very hard to even want to stay in the room. I picked up my belongings and left the room as soon as I could. The noise generated by the construction is certainly not the hotel’s fault but I would definitely not stay there knowing there is such horrible noise affecting...
Read moreAs declared in the title comfortable and practical place. Have to say from the very beginning I stayed in the B building which is newer and better.||Rooms not luxury furnished, but still good with big comfortable mattresses provided good sleep. All usual amenities provided - iron, iron deck, hotpot with complemental instant coffee/tea, complemental orange juice and bottle of water daily, sewing kit, umbrella, toilet articles.||Rooms on other hand spacious with full size desk for laptop, and well lit - big window and sufficient artificial lighting.||||Big decent restaurant in the lobby and plenty places to eat around the hotel. Shopping center where you can find practically everything to make your stay in town easier.||||The biggest negative for me was the internet connection. There was WiFi connection in the room as stated, but the speed was so slow that made it unusable for me ( have to connect to Company server).||The other weak point (for me) is that smoking is allowed (ash tray and matches in the room) however have to say that there wasn't the nasty tobacco...
Read moreThis is a great location if you have business in or near the Economic Free Zone. The room are well appointed and roomy. The bathroom are excellent (some Chinese hotels have less than acceptable bathroom standards). The staff are very helpful although English is difficult for some. The breakfast offering is excellent - Chinese and Western and lots of choices. There are some great local restaurants and foot massage centres very close to the hotel. A great choice of either local, Korean, Japanese, Italian of even hamburgers (but why would you) cuisine. The foot massage i had was one of the best. No English name but see the image I posted. Overall a great hotel to stay at if you need to stay in...
