Holiday Inn Express QINGDAO WEST COAST — Hotel in Qingdao

I had an absolutely fantastic experience during my stay at Holiday Inn Express HuangDao. From the moment I arrived, the team went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. A special thank you to Frank, the hotel manager, for his warm hospitality and attention to detail. It was clear he genuinely cares about every guest's experience.The check-in process was smooth, and I was greeted by Eric, Suzy, and Eva at the front desk. They were all incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient. Their helpfulness made settling in a breeze, and they were always available for your needs.My room was spacious, modern, and had all the amenities I could ask for. The housekeeping team did a great job of keeping everything spotless during my stay.The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, shopping mall and 24 hours grocery shops are just few steps away from hotel. Plus, the on-site dining was excellent—breakfast each morning was a delicious start to the day and most attraction for me is the self service coffee maker at hotel lobby, thats make my very day fully charge after a cup of double espresso.Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. My friend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express during our trip to Qingdao. Initially, we had high expectations of the hotel especially since my friend had experienced what Holiday Inn was like in a previous city which was a very good experience. However, our expectations were no met😕 at this hotel. Overall, it was not a bad stay because the hotel was at a good location (there's a mall literally behind the hotel, lots of restaurants and 5 min walk from the subway station) and the staff at the front dest were nice. However, the food, on trip.com, it notes there's western breakfast but there was not! The breakfast was a basic Chinese breakfast so we were not satisfied with the breakfast at all. Additionally, the hotel needs to be diligent about cleaning the bathrooms. You need to actually scrub the bathroom and not just wipe it down! The shower and around the face basin had mold which was very disgusting and disturbing 🤢. Please do better! Otherwise, we had a good stay. Upon arrival, the duty manager supported our check-in process. They have welcome drinks and snacks also available in the lobby area. |I saw the duty manager supporting clearing tables in the morning at breakfast and then manning the Tsingtao bar late at night, real dedication! |The rooms were clean and adequate. The hotel is situated right next door to a big mall, with lots of small restaurants and shops just outside. |If you want to walk the shoreline, it is a short stroll away, but there are no other facilities along the shore.|There is a great restaurant street about a fifteen minute walk away, |We realised how big Qingdao is, and you really need to get a taxi to anywhere as nothing is centrally located. That said, this hotel is well situated for all. |The standard of service here from the staff was soooo much better than the Movieopolis Crowne Plaza we stayed in.|Well done to the management team!|We also left something in the room and we got the same great service in locating it and sending it on....
