The Royal Begonia, a Luxury Collection Resort, Sanya — Hotel in Sanya City

I did not enjoy my stay and will not recommend this hotel:

Failed the mosquito test. Lots of mosquito. Take 3 calls and 45 minutes to get water delivered to room. Ordered a 2 bedroom suite. It is a 2 bedroom but without the living room so technically it is a one bedroom suite with living room and should not be advertised as a 2 bedroom suite. The "2 bedroom" suite only have one bathroom. Take 2 calls and 30 minutes to for bellboy services for checkout. Food at The Yue restaurant is good but the humidity and heat in the restaurant makes it difficult to enjoy the chef culinary prowess. Air con in restaurant feeble and weak. Perhaps the chef should seek employment at St Regis and not waste his talent at LC. LC is one of the first luxury hotel at Haitang Bay. It is not well maintained and a lot of facilities are old. Could not book a room with breakfast or halfboard package on Marriott website.

The best spot of the hotel is its lift, which is cool and well conditioned.

The breakfast staff did not bother asking for my room number and charge me accordingly for breakfast. This outlines the lack of attention by staff. If they want to talk between themselves and not charge me, so be it.

This hotel does not deserve to be a Luxury Collection portfolio. There is nothing luxurious about it for human, perhaps luxurious for the mosquitos feasting...

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel...it's a beautiful property, with great grounds to stroll around, lots of pools to swim in, a great SPA, beach, spacious rooms, amazing bathrooms, wonderful buffet breakfast, and unlike a lot of comments on TripAdvisor I saw, service & staff were fantastic. Check in was very quick, and very personal at a real desk not a 'front desk'. Room had wonderful views, was very quiet, and thankfully, really good air conditioning. -가격이 좋습니다. -시설이 약간 오래된 느낌이 납니다. -직원들은 친절합니다 (한국인 직원은 전 못봄) -조식 먹을만 합니다(근데 망고가 없음!) -객실이 굉장히 커서 편합니다 화장실에는 세면대 두개에 좌변기룸이랑 샤워룸이 별개로 있습니다. -해변 산책로가 훌륭하니 가시면 꼭 가보세요 해변 따라 끝없이 있습니다. -수영장이 크고 사람이 없어 전세낸거 처럼 이용할 수 있습니다. 다만 미끄럼틀이 어린이용도 없는게 아쉽네요 -해변이 멋지지만 항상 수영하지 말라는 빨간 깃발이 올라가 있더군요 무릅정도까지 들어가는건 괜찮지만 그 이상 들어가면 패트롤(?)이 돌아가라고 합니다. 그래도 애들이 적당히 물장구 치고 모래놀이 정도를 할 수 있습니다. 놀고 난 다음 야외의 샤워기로 모래를 씻어낼 수 있는것도 편리하구요 -해변 바로 앞이라서 그런지 습도가 굉장히 높아요 제습기가 하루면 꽉차는;; 창문 닫고 에어컨 키면 견딜만 합니다 -키즈파크 엄청 크고 좋아요 양말 꼭 가져가야 합니다(천원정도에 팔기도 함) -밖에서 사먹을곳은 바로 아래 하야트 리조트 앞쪽에 있는(큰길따라 10분정도 내려가면 됩니다) ARENA MALL 뿐입니다. 작은 마트도 있어서 뭐 필요한게 있으면 살수도 있구요 -망고 맛있으니까 아레나몰 가는길에 있는 노점상이나(없을때도 있음) 아레나몰 마트에서 많이 사드세요 주먹보다 좀 큰거 6개에 30위안 정도 합니다 노점상이 완전히 익은걸 팔아서 더 싸고 맛있어요 -아레나몰 갈 때는 로비 택시타는데서 직원에게 쉐라톤 도로쪽 입구 가자고 하면 버기로 데려다 줍니다 (올땐 물론...
