I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and had an incredibly disappointing experience. I checked in past midnight after a delayed flight, along with two of my employees. While my room was satisfactory, my employees had to change rooms immediately due to a broken shower. This was highly inconvenient, especially so late at night, as they had to carry their luggage back to the front desk and then relocate to a different floor.
The following morning, I woke up to discover a significant water leak in my room, presumably from the air conditioner. All of my suits, which were hanging in the wardrobe, were soaking wet. This forced me to attend an important meeting in casual clothes without a jacket. The carpet in the room was also flooded, and I had to use a towel to try to contain the water. When I reported the issue to the staff, the response was shockingly indifferent, with a staff member saying, "I'll check when I'm free." This lack of urgency and concern was completely unacceptable.
Later that day, when I returned to the hotel around 6:45 PM, I decided to check out early due to the poor experience. I inquired at the front desk if I could check out without being charged for an extra day or if there was an option to pay for day use. The front desk assistant's response was incredibly rude and dismissive. Despite being a Gold Hilton Honors member, I was treated with a complete lack of respect, as if I were begging for something I didn't deserve. This was both humiliating and deeply upsetting.
To make matters worse, the steam room was completely out of service, and the sauna was not working properly. These amenities were part of the reason I chose to stay at this hotel, and their lack of functionality further added to my dissatisfaction.
I have stayed at Hilton hotels many times and have never felt the need to make a complaint, but this stay left me mentally stressed and extremely uncomfortable, especially in front of my own staff. The way I was treated was not only unprofessional but also completely at odds with the level of service I expect from the Hilton brand.
Overall, this experience has severely impacted my perception of the DoubleTree by Hilton, and I would not recommend this hotel to others...
