The room

It was new and well maintained, but it was very small and I don’t think an upgrade was offered based on my membership.

The hot water suddenly stopped for a while when I was showering. No idea why it happened…

The air conditioning

It was not working properly and always staying at 26 degrees which was extremely hot! They tried to offer me a portable air conditioning , but there was water leaking… Then they offered me another room which had the same air conditioning issue, and so, I decided to go back to the previous room. Everything happened at around 1am in the morning and I had an early flight to catch, so I only slept for 4 hours…

The first thing that struck me about the hotel were their very helpful and friendly staff, outstanding service from all. The room and breakfast is nice and I was so happy they had a free laundry corner - I like to do my own laundry, I was staying at a nearby 4* hotel just prior to HIE Hongqiao Linkong and my overall experience with HIE Hongqiao Linkong was much better! I'd definitely consider staying...
