High recommend this holiday Inn branch if you need a short stay near Pudong Airport for transit or if you are visiting Disneyland. They provided free shuttle bus (to/fro) to the Pudong airport T1&T2 (refer to picture for schedule) as well as Disneyland (pick up from hotel at 7am. only one timing but there will a tour guide in the bus to share some useful info about Disneyland). Hotel staff are also well trained, they were helpful, attentive to my queries. The hotel room is very clean. I personally care very much about hygiene and they really did a god job. The toiletries are available, If the bedroom slipper given will be even better. The hotel amenities is another a plus point - gym room, laundry (free), coffee machine with lots of choices (Americano, latte, cappuccino), free tea bag, snack bar (own expenses), robot machine (to deliver your * order or anything you requested from reception). The lobby area has a powerbank station (rental service). Take note that the neighbourhood isn’t any shophouses so if you need a lunch/dinner, you have to order delivery from their local App (*). Our family of four booked a family room three days in advance for one night, mainly because the hotel is close to Shanghai Pudong Airport, making it convenient to catch our flight the next morning. When we checked in at around 10 p.m., the staff clearly had not prepared our room in advance. It was only when they handed me the room key that they realized I was a Platinum member. It was obvious they hadn’t arranged anything beforehand, despite our reservation being made three days earlier.

At other IHG hotels, the staff usually prepares the room in advance and offers an upgrade if a better room is available. Here, there was no recognition of Platinum member privileges, nor were we informed about the possibility of an upgrade.

The worst part was that upon entering the room, we found that the amenities were only prepared for three people, not for four guests. When we went to the front desk to ask why, there was no apology at all—just a response saying they would quickly provide supplies for the fourth person.

Although the hotel is quite new, the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor. You can clearly hear conversations from the neighboring rooms and the noise of cars...

The room was very modern, clean and big with an open plan design. The shower was nice and the bed was huge. Kettle, tea and plastic bottles but no water dispenser in the public area. Sleep quality was terrible for us. We always choose rooms with blackout curtains because we need complete darkness to sleep. However, there was a blue light switch on the mirror that was very bright, and you couldn’t turn it off. Apart from that the sound insulation is very bad. There was a robotic (or human I don’t know) voice talking in the room next to us almost all night and it didn’t stop until the time we had to wake up (3:40 am). The shuttle bus takes 35’ to get to the airport, it is not every hour but every hour and 20 minutes, so this did not work with our timing and we had to leave much earlier than we needed. It was a large bus that was packed when we arrived, the suitcase storage below was almost completely full and with great difficulty in the darkness (and tiny help by the driver standing next to me) I had to squeeze the suitcase in.
