Sisu Guest House Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

If you plan to stay here as a student, I strongly recommend not to. I was skeptical at first when I read all those bad comments, but now I know better... Single room is 160 yuans / night which makes it 4800 a month!! For that price you can rent a very very nice and big apartment outside for your own. For twins room, it's 75 or 90 yuans / night, which makes it 2250 or 2700 a month. For that price you could share a very nice apartment with someone outside with your own room (that's important). ||||You pay here for the semester. Internet is not included and you have to pay 500 yuans more to have it. That doesn't include wifi. If you want wifi, you have to borrow a plug (500 yuans more) that gives you wifi. When you give the plug back, you get the 500 back. Internet is usually slow and very slow while rush hour (evening)... ||||The staff is yet nice but absolutely unhelpful and has no flexibility. If you are staying in the hotel and don't like it, you will have no way of getting your money back in order to go somewhere else. Every time you ask for something, and even small things, it's always the same answer, "no we do not, no we don't have this, no I can't help you". It's an hotel without the benefits of a normal hotel. I even got kicked away from the second floor one time which is where the restaurant is, and the guy wouldn't say why, even though I spoked Chinese...||||Wash machines are very old. The rooms are far for perfect, mine did had a fusty smell in it, and the staff which "cleans" it once a week, well, if you can call that cleaning, doesn't help much... Depending on which side of the hotel you are, it can be vey noisy all day because of the cars and horns... ||||If you don't want to spend time looking for an apartment, I suggest you find yourself a better hotel around the campus and negotiate a good price for a long stay (better room, better price and better service). Otherwise I strongly recommend searching for an apartment outside the campus. SISU guesthouse is really a bad place to stay for a long time. If you just stay for a few days, it's ok, but not...

I have now stayed twice at the SISU Guest house or hotel. In 2012 it was recently renovated and it was relatively clean and attractive. In 2013 one can already see the deterioration of the premises. It is worth considering if the price for the transient guest (I am not talking about students spending the whole semester) is very reasonable and if you are getting a room overlooking "downtown" Shanghai, especially from the highest floors. The rooms are extremely small even for one person. For two adults with luggage it would be hard to move about.||There are only Chinese channels on cable which is strange this being an international studies university. Hmmm…. The wifi works only if you rent what I assume is a retransmitted and magnifier of the signal from the front desk. If you travel with an Apple PC make sure to bring a cable with adapter. I discovered that cleaning staff is expected to deliver bottled water to there room but they never did in my case. The breakfast has noticeably improved from 2012 when it consisted of a bowl of noodles, period. Now there is some choice. However, get there early because otherwise food is not replenished. You get what is left. Staff speaks little or no English, again strange being an international studies university…. There is access to the metro in walking distance. If you like to run, the athletic field is right in front of the hotel and you can run laps as many as you wish….||Elevators are not that speedy or efficient, especially if you are on the higher floors. They can be slow and congested when students rush to/from classes. Students are quiet. There is no boisterous or noisy partying that I could hear or that kept me awake at night. Во-первых начнем с того, что на ресепш работают неадекватные хамки. Единственный нормальный работник там это девушка менеджер, но чтобы уладить с ней хоть какой-то вопрос, нужно заставить этих хамок ее позвать. При заезде требуют 15000 юаней со студентов, хотя прописано , что бесплатно. Студентыо вынуждены искать преподавателей, ||чтобы доказать, что они студенты. Это просто нонсенс.||Интернет очень медленный, мне сложно представить как готовиться к семинарам, делать презентации с таким медленным интернетом. И за него тоже надо платить.||Но это всё мелочи по сравнению с комнатами и запахом грязного ковролина в комнатах и лифтах. В комнате пыль, грязь, окна полностью не открываются, вонь от кондиционера и летом и зимой. Зимо ужасно холодно. Вы Вынуждены будете дышать кондиционером и зимой и летом, и я сомневаюсь, что они очищают систему кондиционирования. Спустя год проблемы с легкими будут обеспечены. ||На весь этаж одна кухня с ОДНОЙ!! настольной плитой с одной комфоркой!Холодильник небольшой и он уже весь занят уже за месяц до начала учебы пакистанцами. Думаю, кухня тоже будет занята пакистанцами- приготовить что-что будет нереально- комфорка то одна!! ||Если что-то случится на ресепшене на Вас всем ||наплевать. Соседка заболела температура 40, была практически при смерти. На ресепшене меня послали, отказались вызывать скорую. ||Пришлось тащить ее на себе, ловить такси на улице. В больнице несмотря на страховку отказывались к ней даже притрагиваться пока ||не заплатили 20000 юаней картой. Так что страховка от института за 600 юаней это просто развод!! Знайте!!! После той ужасной ночи и ||решила уезжать домой и доучиваться в Москве.||Территория кампуса маленькая, поэтому студенты кучкуются на улице перед ||общежитием. В основном это европейские девушки. Пакистанцы кучкуются отдельно и жадно смотрят на европеек..... Жалкое зрелище.||Вечером тут как-то некомфортно.||Что касается еды- в столовой еда совсем не пригодна для европейцев. У кампуса много кафешек, как писали в предыдущих отзывах, но каждый день в них питаться просто нереально, потому что еда в основном в стиле фастфуд.||За месяц кг 10 обеспечено и диарея каждый вечер. В магазинчике в обжещитии продается одна лапша быстрого приготовления. В одной станции метро находится Карфур, все дорого , опять таки нет нормальной еды, запах стоит ||жуткая,...
