So I stayed here for 7 nights toward the end of April 25. It was my very first time in China. I had spent many hours, infact, days scouring through Trip.com for a hotel which ticks most of the boxes I require. Of course I settled for Yu He Hotel. My decision was made primarily based on the exceptional reviews it got. The question is: Did the reviews match up to what I experienced? 100% Yes! This hotel more than ticked the boxes for me. I unknowingly got off at the stop before due to the app I was using. As I was walking up for some time I thought I'd made a big mistake, I saw residential tower blocks edging closer. I thought It was in the middle of nowhere. Then I saw the hotel. walked inside and all what I was thinking changed immediately! The look, design, layout of the hotel foyer was impressive. Check-in process, smooth. My room, large and spacious, of good decor,design, varied lighting system to suit all moods. The bed, pillows, stand-alone shower, vanity, toilet area, I loved it all. My room didn't have a great view as it was on the side of the building but I overlooked this as it was just a small thing. Breakfast was lovely and varied. The food could be a bit hotter but this is the case in most hotels I have stayed in. I put my plate on the toaster to heat it up a bit. The staff here are very nice and accommodating. They even try to call the lift for you which is a nice touch. I#ve never before drank green tea before I came, and neither did I want to, but when I was in the foyer the young lady attending there, brought it to me each day. Now, at home I drink it every day which has countless health benefits. Fruit is brought to your room every day - something I had never experienced in any of the hotels I have stayed in. Connections to town is excellent with Zhonging Road (Line 11) being just a 2 minute walk away. There is another station just around the corner serving Line 10 as well. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel and would return if I ever visited Shanghai again...
