First impression entering the hotel; lack of the typical Hilton scent, and overall 5 star appearance. The lobby has several stands promoting things I can’t tell what is was in Chinese. This is typical in many Chinese hotels but it lacks the 5 star ambiance. Furthermore, near the lobby bar is a nice dessert cabinet filled with Pepsi and mineral water….why? and next to the entrance some ridiculous game boxes that makes no sense. The room was ok, good size and no issues, good cleaning. The pool was ok too but with a small and rather boring gym next door. The dinner buffet was good and for the price which included free flow of a SA mediocre red wine and beer nothing much to complaint about. The poorest part was breakfast and that was depressing, especially for someone expecting a bit of western and Hilton quality, bread selection poor. It’s ok to have a limited selection but at least make the limited selection good and fresh og the day, don’t serve 2 days old bread, that is...
Read moreThe only good thing about the hotel is the beautiful location and Hilton standard rooms overlooking the cliff. Ropeway is 5 mins walk from the hotel, lovely place to hike.
The service is pathetic. The AC was not working and even the technician came twice at night, he couldn't fix the AC. Only after I asked for a room replacement, was the AC fixed next day. The room service came to clean the rooms but didn't take the used towels and didn't wash the cup/plates. I had to call him again to do this. The trash can was emptied but still there was trash lying around. The bed was made but looked messy. Room service menu is showing on TV but when we scan the QR code, 75% items are not available.
I mean I can go on and on. I have never experienced such service in any of the...
Read moreDo not come here expecting westernised service. The Chinese restaurant did not have a menu in English and staff could not communicate like other Hilton International hotels. The food was very expensive for the worst food we had in China. Restaurant very untidy taking them too long to clear tables despite staff present. They kept saying about the western restaurant and we were sent around the hotel in circles - we eventually got them to escort us to it - it was closed and only the location for breakfast. Half the hotel is mothballed with the lights off. Good breakfast in the morning to fuel you for a day up the mountain. The room was good - although there were so many different light switches it was a mission to turn...
