During my business visit to Shantou, I stayed at the Howard Johnson hotel. While the room was decent, it was quite small. The pricing, however, is on the higher side compared to hotels even in larger cities in China.

The breakfast was particularly disappointing—one of the worst I’ve experienced. I would strongly recommend skipping it if possible. Although the hotel claims to be international, it offered no dinner options for vegans.
