Grand Hyatt Shenyang — Hotel in Shenyang City

You'll love the variety of foods from twelve types of cereals and nuts to traditional Chinese cooking to Western style cooked breakfasts all served to your table by attentive and alert staff - or you can help yourself. Go back another day for breakfast and you'll be surprised at how the staff remember that you have your coffee just so .. with a side jug of full cream milk .. and that your spouse likes black tea! etc etc You can't ask for more.

30Dec17 2:55PM Highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Shenyang. Extremely fast ground floor lobby reception operations will put luggage staff at the side of your car or coach within seconds of you pulling up at the front doors. You won't have to lift a finger because the luggage staff will direct you to take the lifts up to the L reception Lobby where multilingual concierge and bookings staff will check your bookings and allocate your rooms, keys and myriad other traveller-data to make your stay comfortable and smooth. Some reviewers say the decor is dated and there's outstanding maintenance but I haven't seen any examples and my wife and I have been here six days since 30Dec17. Anyway none of it matters to me because we travelled for 24 hours from New Zealand to get here with my wife and we're staying for eight days and the hotel staff have made all the appropriate first impressions on us. Keep it up...

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shenyang for 3 nights in September of 2025. I actually really loved this hotel. Just as a heads up, you must take an elevator to the top floor lobby and then switch elevators to descend to the guest room floors.

The hotel is luxurious with big rooms, a big bathroom, and great city views. My room faced South and I loved laying in bed at night watching the city lights.

There was a large fitness center, a spa, and a gorgeous pool. The pool situation was a little strange. The pool attendant noticed my Western style bathing suit and called the spa manager to make sure it was an actual bathing suit rather than a pair of shorts. You also must wear a head cap to swim, and these were available for tourists like me. The overall vibe of the pool was that the attendant will always be watching you - so no funny business.

This hotel is connected via the ground floor to a huge luxury shopping mall. The mall contains high end stores (think Gucci, Prada, YSL, etc), as well as more common name brand stores (think Adidas, Lululemon, etc). The mall also has a food court, about a dozen different restaurants, and an ice skating rink. Across the street from the Grand Hyatt is a less luxurious shopping mall which contains a McDonalds, Lawson's, and a variety of entertainment options (think: KTV). All in all, there is a lot of mall square footage to explore nearby.

Closest subway station is a good ~12-14 minute walk,...
