Read moreThe hotel is located near SZ University and connects directly with metro. Together with good taxi/DiDi service the location is convenient for many parts of Shenzhen - which is a very large city. The hotel occupies the top floors (32F? to 48 F) of a building with the bottom part containing offices. There is absolutely no problem with the offices and people working there as they have separate entrances and elevators. Due to the location on top floors, the views from rooms and other places are great. Next to the hotel there are some convenience stores( like 7/11), simple restaurants, coffee shops. The High Tech Park district with many upscale shops, cafes, restaurants is close - 20 min walking distance or two metro stops. The rooms are large and very comfortable, very quiet despite being located at a very busy street! Beds are good providing just enough support, and bathrooms are splendid. There is good Wi-Fi and convenient electric outlets, even a few buil-in USB ports. A covered swimming pool on the top (48 F) is great, quite large for serious lap swimming, and the gym next to it seems to be well appointed. There are two functioning restaurants (the third - Japanese was closed). Both offer good food, the buffet breakfast on 46 F offers many options though is somewhat oriented towards Chinese food but there is a good choice of Western food as well. The Chinese restaurant on 47F is exquisite - one of the best I tried in many years of travel in China. Besides food and amenities, the staff is fantastic - everybody tries to be helpful. Though a few speak English (some excellent) we all have translators now. Overall, a...
Read moreThe original comment has been removed. As the management team has shown enough attention to the original issue. And to be fair, every staff i encountered were acting real helpful except the check in bit. Having a room facing right at the corridor on a regular Friday night still deserves some genuine comment I feel.
For the room arranging bit. Just let people get the room according with their arrival time and provide the desired room if its available , just be honest and ignore whoever speaks louder or look shinny and demand the room first, to set up rules and structure like perhaps in japan hotel industry that they are well known in hospitality sector for a reason. Just first come first and that makes a good rules.
For a frequent traveler in china , I would say its actually understandable and its not entirely on the hotel as if there are always people smoking in the hotel so I know its hard for the hotel to keep the rooms completely 2nd hand smoke free.
Hardware is pretty good . If they even do more touch up on the hardware , improving the check in process, there can be room for charging more .
Breakfast was decent quality for the price range.
Basically avoid peak season, you can get almost all the top hotel in town down under 2k rmb. And honestly in all main city around the world for a decent 4 star...
