I was travelling around China by trains together with my wife and daughter and chose this hotel based on its proximity to the Shenzhen North Railway station.||||We called the hotel and asked them to send one of their 7 seat vehicles to meet us at the station. This worked well and it was accompanied by one of their staff who helped us to navigate the crowds and got us underway to the hotel in a relatively short amount of time.||||The reception desk staff spoke a limited amount of English so I was fortunate that both my wife and daughter could converse in Mandarin and Cantonese so we found our reservation and were directed to our room on the 10th floor within minutes.||||That's where it all turned sour. My daughter is very sensitive to smells and announced that she was unable to stay in the room due to a bad odour. I couldn't smell anything but nonetheless we moved to another room on the same floor. The girls went shopping and I decided to take a shower. The hotel provides free pickup/drop service to Shenzhen North during certain hours in the morning, provided you inform them at least an hour in advance. You can also ask your cab for a receipt of your fare in case you come in from Shenzhen North and get it reimbursed (only for specific hours).|Rooms are quite spacious and have comfortable beds. The bathrooms are see through from the bedroom, provided you pull up the sliding doors to cover, so it’s fine if you’re staying with your partner else you might have to consider this point.|Most of us in the group were vegetarians - Breakfast spread is good, with reasonable vegetarian options. However, wouldn’t advise lunch or dinner since there are hardly any veg dishes on the menu and whatever we ordered were not great in taste. Would suggest to explore some other place.|Reception is very warm and friendly, with a few English speaking staff. They were kind enough to help us get cabs when we wanted to travel. |Overall a good stay in a...
Read moreThis was a hard one to rate. When I arrived I actually felt like checking out as was disappointed as it is like a 3.5 star Chinese hotel. This is nothing like a 5* Ramada.|I chose this hotel as I was arriving by fast train to Shenzhen North station with alot of luggage.|The area is not a tourist area but sometimes that can be good.|Hotel was extremely cheap and I actually felt ok on my second night there.|They had an ok breakfast, free luggage storage and one block away there was alot of shops and restaurants and alot of side streets with shops and restaurants so you can see how the Chinese really live, unlike the tourists areas.||Would I stay again?, yes i would if under the same circumstances but for a few dollars more you can get a much better place.||It's a perfectly adequate hotel for one night or two but not for a hotel for a holiday. There are no facilities and very few if any foreigners...
