I just finished my 23 night stay at this hotel after a 37 night stay a month earlier. I can say very little good about this hotel. I can say the rooms are clean and the folks who clean the rooms are the friendliest in the hotel. That is about it for this place. The staff at the front desk, in the buffet restaurant, and around the pool are all cold and rude. Because of my company I have to stay here, but if you have a choice please look elsewhere. The breakfast buffet is terrible, all of the food is ice cold unless they just filled the tray. The dinner buffet is the same issue, cold and weak flavor. If you stay longer than 16 nights the laundry service is free for up to 4 pieces per day, which is a good perk. However, when I checked out today they charged me 6 days for laundry and played the no speak English card when I complained. Bottom line, they basically stole around 400 rmb from me for a service they told me was free. If you have a choice, please do yourself a favor and select another hotel in the area, one that is honest. Oh, and do not even think about money exchange at this hotel, they offer 5.5 rmb for 1 USD when any bank will give you around 6.3. Stay away from...
Read moreThe booking website for this hotel did print that it has swimming pool and gym facilities for hotel guest. But I was confronted to pay a token to use the facilities, and when I asked for an explanation at the reception lobby of what the booking website has stated. They stated to me that this is the responsibilities of the outsourced website company, not theirs!
And a lady customer of mine went for a foot reflexology at this hotel after seeing an ad of 68 (Renminbi/Yuan), after half way through the reflexology; the service staff approached her that minimum expenditure is 168 (Renminbi/Yuan) + tax and service charges all in all. The total amount worked out to be 200 (Renminbi/Yuan). I believe such service business ethics need to confronted eventually. I personally avoid such hotel, as I do not know what else "MORE" that I would need to pay eventually in my final bill when...
Read moreThe room was clean and well designed, and the people were all very nice. Things were difficult, though, since almost no one spoke English, even at the front desk. The "Western Restaurant" had very little that was western, which I could live with, but the worst was the breakfast buffet. There just was not much there. The Dim-sum selection included only 3 items, and I do not really like fish for breakfast. The bacon was great, but it only appeared two days during the six I stayed. They had an omelet station, but every time I got anywhere near it, the cook retreated into the kitchen (avoiding speaking English?). My typical breakfast was fried rice, a couple of pork dumplings, a hard-boiled egg and a small pastry.||I would consider staying there again, since it is close to a company I visit, but I may look for...
