From the recent unforgettable and sweet memory of staying at the Langham Shenzhen to celebrate my elder brother’s birthday, I came to realize once again that this hotel is truly second to none among the mainstream hotel groups in China. We only paid an average room rate, yet what we received was far more than its worth. We were treated like family—Tina, the thoughtful and sophisticated Rooms Division Manager, delighted us with an upgrade, beautifully decorated the room with floral blessings, and even arranged a delicious birthday cake. To think, this was only my second stay at this remarkable hotel!
Our decision to enjoy the Club Lounge proved to be another wise choice. I have always known of the wonderful savoury reputation of the Langham Hotel Group, which only a few could ever surpass, yet I never expected such a perfect harmony between the cosy environment and the full appeal of taste. We all enjoyed every moment of it. Special thanks go to Olivia, Joanne, Sam, Ryan, and Gina, along with others whose names we may have missed—their heartfelt hospitality made our stay even more memorable. Olivia, in particular, touched us with her kindness in offering my niece a beautiful bag, knowing her tendency to feel unwell.
We also deeply appreciate Cynthia, Head of Service & Loyalty, who had impressed us even on our earlier stay when she skillfully calmed a guest’s grumble in the lift and kindly assisted us to our floor. This time, she welcomed us warmly in the lounge, asked for our feedback, and quickly resolved our concerns to our full satisfaction.
At the front desk, Jason, Louis, and Nina demonstrated a strong sense of teamwork, making our check-in smoother and more efficient than many other hotels we have experienced. Jason and Louis also attentively guided us through the rooms and facilities, helping us settle in comfortably. Woody and Mike were so attentive that they offered assistance even before we thought to ask, which was deeply reassuring.
Housekeeping too left us truly impressed. Returning from the swimming pool after a sudden drizzle, we worried our room might not yet be ready. To our delight, it had already been impeccably cleaned and tidied by Ng Wai Hing . Such efficiency reflects the diligence of Supervisor Cheung Hung Lai, whose meticulous oversight ensures the consistently superb standard of housekeeping at the Langham Shenzhen. Jimmy Lam also impressed us with his smart approach—asking me to demonstrate the Type C line so he could find the right socket quickly, saving us both time and effort.
This combination of heartfelt gestures, professionalism, and genuine hospitality makes the Langham Shenzhen stand out far above its peers. Read moreThank you, The Langham, Shenzhen for another flawless stay.||My mom and I arrived at the hotel early at 11am hoping to drop off the luggage so we could go have our dim sum lunch easily. ||Surprisingly, Vans provided us with early check in which allowed my mom to freshen up and start the birthday celebration trip with a smile. He was so professional, knowledgeable and detail minded that he chose to let us get in the room before having the Guest Relation officer to decorate our room.||The Club team was delivering their impeccable service as always. As we walked into the Club Lounge, we were greeted by Ryan whom I could remember from my previous stay. He was very polite and attentive. I remember once he even noticed a bit of tea leaves in my cup when he was pouring the Osmanthus tea and he asked me if he should pour another cup. He truly paid attention to details. ||Another Club staff I found very pleasant and professional was Joanne. She was so kind to remember me from my previous stays and welcome me back with a smile. We had a brief but very good chat.||As we returned to the hotel room after our dim sum lunch, my mom was so happy to see the Happy Birthday wording in red rose petals on the bed and it must be very hard work to put that together. Thanks again.||My mom never expected any staff to say Happy birthday to her, however all the above staff obviously made good use of the information I provided prior to the stay and provided my mom with their heartfelt wishes.||On the day we departed, we decided to buy three cakes from the cake shop on 2/F.||As we had planned a day out and would return to the hotel close to 7pm to pick up the stored luggage and the cakes, the most impressive staff this stay, Lydia very patiently served from the heart. She suggested certain cakes that she could make later in the afternoon with fresh ingredients. She knew that I would have to carry the cakes all the way back to Hong Kong. The cakes were nicely put in a box with numerous ice pads in very presentable insulated bags to keep the cakes nice and cool. They still tasted fresh from the kitchen as they arrived home two hours from the time of pick-up. ||Last but not least, it was great to meet Vans again and both he and Cora checked if we were satisfied with the stay which was perfect.
