This hotel is built on a natural hot thermal spring. That is very rare at such altitudes of +3500 m. So you have AND the health effects of the pure air AND the health effects of the super-mineralised natural hot thermal spring water ! That should be one of the nr 1 selling points of the hotel-resort. This natural hot thermal spring fills up the indoor swimming pool. That water is about 34°C. During the day they let it flow over into the outdoor pools where it cools down to 21°C. This water is loaded with minerals and oligo-elements, so staying for 20 minutes pushes all these minerals and oligo-elements through your skin, straight into your muscles, joints, tubular systems transporting your blood, lymph fluid, endoneurial fluid (around your nerves). So this is all very health improving. The hotel is magnificent - the amount of marble - green marble is stunning and a wow factor. The bedrooms with marble, the bathroom is all marble, the beds with the colored linen coverings are super beautiful. These people have minerals in their mountains that can be used for coloring - that is clear. And they show off their colors everywhere: their linen, hangers, curtains, you name it. This goes back millennia. It's all authentic. Also in the shops you can buy all these crystals, colors, mixes of bee-wax and resin was from the pine trees. It's a festival of colors, pendants. I love it. These people not only wear the 17#GlobalGoals but also sleep in them. :) I slept very well and very healthy after that stay in the thermal spring pool and the pure air.
The food: buffet style. If you choose wisely, you have very interesting healthy food that you don't find in the West. These are Chinese cooks who know : food that makes you healthy. I think you should stay here for a week or even two - for improving your health. And they should absolutely start organising #TransformativeTourism, #RegenerativeTourism, #HealthTourism.
As you guessed, I love it here in this whole region. Bravo to the...
Read moreA good option for JiuzhaiI honestly feel quite mixed about the hotel - in some regards they were really great, but others need some attention Pros:- Location is perfect - a 10min taxi ride to Jiuzhaigou Scenic area main entrance + on the hotel’s doorstep are a wide range of food options and little supermarkets- The airport transfer is excellent and a fair price - 200 RMB. It just made me realize how much my previous hotel in Huanglong ripped me off by charging me ‘the foreigner price’ 😡- Scenery - it is a very beautifully done up hotel and located in front of a mountain. There are a lot of koi ponds and a very pretty restaurant opposite the reception. - The room is spacious and bed is comfortable.- The 2 staff members who speak English are helpful.- They refunded me when I checked out early as I had to leave earlier. Cons:- The rooms could do with a more thorough cleaning - the small coffee table with faux marble top had some layers of previous cups and other grime. - As already stated by other reviewers, Western breakfast is limited - think toast, cereal, and instant coffee in an urn. When I asked for a butter knife to spread butter and jam on my toast, I was told to use a chopstick or spoon 🫣🫣🫣- The hotel towels could do with an upgrade as they...
Read moreIn June 2025, we booked this hotel through the Ctrip App. The accommodation experience was terrible! The advertisement said it was five diamonds, but the actual quality might not even be two diamonds! The hotel environment was very bad, the heating was broken, and it was very humid. We were arranged on the lowest floor. The bathroom was shabby, and the bath towel had five holes in it and was provided to guests. The room was dimly lit, but dead bugs could still be seen. There were a lot of hairs next to the dead bugs. I don't know how long the room has not been cleaned. The cheap furniture was mottled and peeling, very old, and the cotton sofa was very dirty. The bathroom has not been renovated for a long time. The edge banding on the wall and the sink, and the edge banding on the wall and the shower glass were black and dirty, and many of them fell off. After taking a shower, I don't know why there was water all over the floor of the bathroom. The heating and hair dryer were broken. After complaining, we were moved to a room without windows. Have you ever seen a "five-diamond hotel"...
