New Jiuzhai Hotel — Hotel in Sichuan

Lousy hotel with poor lighting in the room. The TV was faulty. The maintenance staff said it is not repairable, then why it is still being placed in the room?! Obviously, no room maintenance work is done. In the minibar, no eating utensil (spoon) provided for making tea/coffee, contacted housekeeping but they were not able to provide as it is managed separately by the hotel restaurant, this is ridiculous! By the way, only tea bags provided, no instant coffee available. ||Some good points about the hotel: proximity to the Jiuzhaigou performance theatre which is located beside the hotel. The staff service was swift. Upon calling the front desk, they delivered our request (like bottled drinking water) almost immediately. Room slipper provided, shower with good water pressure, clean room, beds and towels. Breakfast is only decent, nothing much to shout about. ||Last but not least, if I could choose the hotel I wish to stay, I wouldn't go for it. Unfortunately, this hotel is part of the group...

Hotel room was clean and appeared well-maintained with modern sexy open concept design for the bathroom and bedroom. Heating system in the room worked well. However, there was only cold water out of hot water tap. A service staff attended almost immediately to point out that hot water comes out of the cold water tap instead!! WiFi worked flawlessly in the room, restaurants in the hotel, and the lobby. The restaurants in the hotel are clean with good hygiene practice which is the utmost criteria before visiting the national parks nearby so the tour will not be interrupted by having to look for the nearest washrooms for emergencies. The hotel is a stone throw away from Jiuzhaigou park which makes it easy to abandon your bus ride when there is a traffic jam in the morning. The altitude of the hotel is low enough for a comfortable stay and a good night's sleep. Really a comfortable place to rest after tons of walking and stairs climbing...
