We stayed here for 2 nights with family. This hotel should be renamed the Marlboro Hotel. The lobby smells like cigarettes, the elevators smelled like cigarettes, the pool smelled like cigarettes, the rooms smelled like cigarettes, and the atrium smelled like cigarettes - the atrium is also where the breakfast buffet is. The rooms needs renovation, badly. Legs of bed-side tables were wonky, as were the legs on the desk. There were condoms available for purchase on the bedside table (so classy!) I'm surprised cigarettes weren't available instead or as well! ||And although it was hot enough for air conditioning, they did not turn on the air conditioning in the hotel rooms. If you are lucky enough to have a screen on your window, you can open them for better circulation. Maybe it was a 4 star hotel back in it's hey day, but no way is it even a 4 star now. There are no none-smoking rooms (like most Chinese hotels), and avoid coming out of your room at night, because the overwhelming cigarette smoke wafting up from the atrium will give you a...
Read moreThis is my first stay at this hotel and I am not really satisfied, the foyer is very, very big and there are many spots to sit around as there is free wifi in the lobby. The rooms are very small and are in need of alot of changes, the bathroom especially. The sealing in the shower are peeling off and the door of the shower can not be closed properly and the effect of that is puddles of water all over the place. The door of the bathroom will not close properly and we did not have any conditioner so it was entirely impossible to wash my hair as it is of medium length. The staff didnt speak much english and when we had an issue with the heating system, we had to wait a really long time trying to find someone who would speak english but that took us around 20 minutes. Overall, it was a decent stay but I wouldn't recommend...
Read moreThis was my second stay at this hotel in a year. Great accomodations and rooms. The only issue I had was no wireless internet in the rooms and the wired was a bit erratic. They have a drinking water faucet in the rooms, food is great (both western and eastern) and the staff are very friendly and treat you like royalty. If you can get a corner room with a foyer/hallway, it is a little nicer and slightly more space. My rate was around $90 and it was better than rooms I paid $260 for during my trip. It is not brand new, but I was very satisfied with both of my stays there. Most of the staff speak very little english so be prepared. Usually there is someone around that speaks a reasonable amount of english so you shouldn't...
