In the process of looking for hotel to host wedding party next winter. Stayed here just to see what we thought before sending 40 Canadian family members over. And for the money it is a nice place. Bed was comfortable and room is nice size with a great view of the city. Lots of water pressure in the shower. Room was quite at night. Breakfast had enough western food on it to survive. Only one coffee maker in breakfast area so could get busy if lots of people. Some of the staff spoke some English so that was a big help. I have not got time to see all facilities but we ate last night in restaurant Wu die xuan that is just out side the main entrance toward the lake and it was good. The crab in curry sauce was good. Also mango beef was very nice. Price for this was expensive, but food and service was good. All in all this is nice hotel. It does not compare to a crowne plaza but that's alot more money. it's close to train station and airport and they have a shuttle service to pick up. |There is some nice green space around the hotel and lots of shopping near by. If you want to walk and experience the hectic bustle...
Read moreThe Wanjia International is an impressive new luxury hotel with a huge marble lobby with fresh flowers and eye catching light fixtures, plenty of public areas, comfortable and beautifully furnished rooms, a full gym and an extensive breakfast buffet. Of the eight hotels I stayed in in China on this trip, this was the most luxurious. It's connected to a nice shopping mall with a variety of stores and restaurants. It's close to a convention and expo center and a lot of office buildings, so the location is perfect for anyone doing business in the area. For a tourist like me, the location was fine because it's fairly convenient to the airport by taxi and not too far from the downtown tourist center--an inexpensive taxi ride or an even cheaper ride on the dedicated, elevated busway from the station about a five minute walk from the hotel. Not much English is spoken at the hotel but if you do have any questions the friendly and helpful staff can't easily understand they call in someone who does speak English fluently. For such an elegant hotel, this hotel is very...
