Xiamen Wutong Fliport Hotel — Hotel in Xiamen

The Wutong Fliport Hotel is grand and accommodating. The staff were eager to help. Our check-in staff, Sunny, was very helpful, she even upgraded our room for free for 3 nights. The hotel beach is quiet during the day, with lots of beach chairs and umbrellas for shade. There just happened to be a festival at the back of the hotel this weekend, it was filled with live music and various food booths from Xiamen. The two downsides were the breakfast food - there were not many western options and the location, this hotel is situated on the opposite of the island with all the food and pedestrian streets. However, the hotel is right next to a huge outlet mall with numerous options of western clothing shops. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to any travellers...

Great location if you drive or are happy with getting a Didi as it's not near a Metro station. It's location by the seaside is also fantastic, although the hotel needs to understand that a beach is for swimming and walking around without shoes. My only major complain is that the beach they claim is not really a beach. The water is clean enough and the sand soft, but they make unreasonable and quite frankly, ill-advised rule for not allowing people to interact with nature the way a beach is to be enjoyed.
