I recently stayed at Le Méridien Zhongshan and unfortunately, my experience did not meet the standards expected from a Le Méridien property. The hotel shows clear signs of aging, and the upkeep is lacking in several areas.Room Condition:The room itself was spacious but had noticeable maintenance issues. The pillowcase had a visible stain, and the shower cabinet had dirt and grime buildup, which was disappointing for a hotel of this brand. The overall cleanliness could definitely be improved.Executive Lounge Service and breakfast:As a frequent guest of different properties in the Greater Bay Area, I found the executive lounge service here to be below par. The staff seemed less attentive compared to other locations, and the food and beverage selection was underwhelming.Location & Other Facilities:The hotel’s location is convenient, and the building has a classic charm, but the lack of proper maintenance and inconsistent service detracts from the experience. Conclusion:While the stay wasn’t terrible, I expected better from a Le Méridien. If the management invests in refurbishment and staff training, this hotel could be much more competitive. For now, I would recommend considering other options in the area unless significant...

Read moreLooks good from outside but far from good! I checked in at 23:30, hoping for a good night's sleep. The staff at the front desk was not the professional and polite type, so please don't expect that Le Meridien standard. The soundproofing of the room is terrible, so I kept hearing all the sounds from the next door and upstairs until 1:15am. I requested to change to a quiet room, and a guy who has this gangster look brought the room key after I waited for 15 minutes (it takes no more than 3 minutes from Reception to my room in deed). Then I found out the new room had a serious smoking smell, so I had no choice but to request another room change. There goes the gangster-looking guy again, not just his look, but also the way he looked at me and the way he talked. Maybe he is not happy that he had to bring me the key, but should I be happy while it is 1:40 now by the time I get to the new room? It is such a bad experience staying in this hotel, and I will never pick this hotel anymore. Did Marriot or Le Meridien group really check on the staff standard? room structure? Lastly, if you stay as a couple or two people, the toilet has only a fence, so anyone who wants to use the toilet at night will definitely...
