Hostal Bralgijon Capurganá — Hotel in Acandí

I stayed here for 2 full weeks, 14 days. And honestly I can say that this hostel is your best option in Capurganá. And completely worth the price.

It is close to everything, yet far enough away that you don't get woken up by the extremely loud sound systems of the towns people.

The rooms are great. The A/C was the reason I stayed here for so long. And the pool is very nice. The rooms were also maintained VERY well. Sheets changed often, and even the floors get mopped if it's getting a bit dirty.

The food is AMAZING. I am vegetarian, but try to stay as vegan as possible, and Mary the hostel keeper kept great care of me. I ate almost every meal at this hostel because it was so delicious 🤤 she even got soy patties and soy hot dogs for my arrival in conjunction with the other food she made.

Only down sides were the people honk their horns often when driving and you can hear it from the hostel (probably the same story in every hostel in the area). Also there is no hot water like everywhere in Colombia... But it's refreshing after the hot sun.

Also, the power is shut off by the city from time to time.. so that's a bit annoying but never longer than an hour or two. It wasn't really a big deal as everything here runs off of solar... Except the A/C, but the fans in the room will still work as well as the outlets.

Overall, this hostel (which is more like a hotel with the private accomodations) is fantastic. Well kept and modern. Clean. And delicious food 🥑 You won't be disappointed if...

This place is cleaned top to bottom (including the pool) daily as of it were a buddhist temple. Very welcoming. It has the feel of an all-inclusive resort with an intimate setting. Great outdoor space in the sun or the shade. Beds are comfy and firm mattress. Satellite TV, Wifi and energy available even during town brown-outs. Beautiful hostal with excellent customer service. Host was knowledgeable and took us on tour of Capurgana and the areas nearby.
