Finca Corales Llanogrande — Hotel in Antioquia

This country house was comfortable, and while it could use some fixing up, it was well suited for our team retreat. We were 11 people. We slept well, were well fed, and kept warm by the lovely fireplace in the main living room. The beds were comfortable and five of the six bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. The game room kept us entertained with billiards and ping pong. The pool was refreshing, and the outdoor table was really nice when we wanted to sit outside for some fresh air.||||There are several little sitting areas both inside and outdoors. The dogs are friendly, and the fútbol field went without being used--but it looked nice. ||||Only 15 minutes' drive from the airport; nice roads to go walking, as well as a good variety of restaurants within walking distance of the Finca. The restaurants included vegan selections, which was a bonus.||||It was a very enjoyable week...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE! Yes, it is true the outside is as picturesque and charming as the photos. HOWEVER, the house is falling apart. The owner has not maintained the house. The bathrooms are barely functional (ours had a large hole in ceiling open to the roof), floorboards were falling off, one bathroom had no ttoilet seat .... a TOTAL ripoff. The Movich hôtel (4 star) at the airport was cheaper. The housekeeper is very nice and attentive and frankly I feel sorry for him. He faced an uphill battle to try to keep the cockaroaches out (but we found two in the house.

This house, built in the 50's or early 60's has an undeniable charm and character that tells the story of a big family typical of the region. The current administration has a man and his cousin (a woman) taking care of guests. Rooms are adequate and so are the social areas. We were a group of about 14 and we had room to spare.
